This project was based on the requirements that were
stated by Sansui software company. The work involved building an auction site
for them.
The project involved

Building an Intranet application that would
allow Sansui’s customers to login and place auction bids.
·
The system would allow creating and maintaining
multiple auction categories.
·
System would allow creation and assignment of
security settings based on user-group permissions.
·
Users can place Items on bid and specify the
minimum bid price and auction closing time.
·
Multiple users can log into the system and place
their bids, the system would update the current bid status.
·
Users can track their bid status when they log
in to the system.

DESCRIPTION:
The project was aimed at computerization of the Sales and
Services department for L&T’s distributor. Some of the tasks that the
system would accomplish include

Tracking various tractor models
and ability to define new models.
·
Tracking various spare parts (inventory
items) for all tractors.
·
Tracking the association of
spare parts to specific tractor models.
·
System allows users to capture
information relating to the number of units of inventory that was sold. It also
records time and date for these transactions.
·
The system would compute the
daily sales picture at the end of day.
·
System allows users to analyze
the data regarding sales by model, users or region.
