Project Title: 

                     

 “ Automation of Car Maintenance Company ”

 

DESCRIPTION:

         
             The owner of the car maintenance company is the single user of the project. The main aim of this project is, the administrator needs to maintain various registers regarding the people who approach the company for their respective works. The people may approach the company for the maintenance of their cars or they may come to buy some spare parts. The car maintenance company procures various parts of various cars from authorized vendors. The owner should maintain the entire information regarding various people like vendors, customers,  clients etc., who are connected to the company.
            
              There are five modules in this project and those are as listed below:

  • Vendor
  • Customer
  • Client
  • Purchase
  • Parts
       
              Maintaining all the information regarding the tasks mentioned above in the form of records is not reliable i.e., it consumes lots of time, requires heavy manpower, cannot be stored safely and sometimes, the information may also be lost. To overcome all the disadvantages, the system is required to be computerized. In this proposed system, each and every person is given an invoice number and his/her information is stored in the database whether he/she is a vendor, a client or a customer. Whenever that particular person comes to the company, he/she needs to carry the invoice number given to him previously. The owner just enters the invoice number and the whole information regarding the person will be displayed on the screen. If the person is new to the company, then he is given an invoice number and all the information regarding him/her is entered into the database.

CONCLUSION:

        The computerized system eliminates work load and the man power. It is therefore effective and efficient to implement. Storing the information regarding the people in the form of magnetic media ensures the reliability.
