Project
Management:
Numerous project types including office relocation (see below), software
implementation and integration, server management, RFP/RFQ’s for various
customer quotes, vendor selection, contact negotiation, and other end-user
support projects as well as long-term planning for infrastructure or business
operations. Primarily used GANTT and MS
Excel charts in this position to manage projects. One of the biggest projects I
managed/supervised was our office relocation.
This included gathering requirements on various levels to include power requirements,
telephony, office space, installation, new equipment, heating and cooling
concerns, a migration from a computer based workgroup to being a star point off
of a global WAN. Various equipment was
needed which included a new Cisco 3845 multi-service router (with a new
implementation of VoIP), a Catalyst switch, UPS, redundancy throughout,
numerous role-based Dell servers and rack, alarm, new telephony circuits, Cisco
PIX 506E, MPLS WAN backbone link to the United Kingdom, infrastructure layout
and other provisioning relating to telephony and network. I received an award for the success of this
project.
o
Training
– End user support on various
technologies, software, hardware, and technology specific.

Abilities: Most of these include the ability to
multi-task various projects simultaneously.
Technically I am the subject matter expert when it comes to hardware
technology specs for RFP’s. I also serve
in the role of primary domain admin for the USA child domain and am the last
stop for all end-user requests for day-to-day operations. I maintain the lead IT role within the USA
for our global network. On a day-to-day
basis I plan and prepare for customer roll outs, new employees, and future
direction of our USA network and systems including security, administration,
telephony, wireless technology and implementation, order networking equipment,
manage the network and various projects, and overall support users on various
levels. Within this role I have
completed an entire network workgroup/domain move, telephony overhaul, server
upgrades, implemented various policy and procedure changes, established an IT

practices.

o
Office Relocation Project:
§ Telephony,
Network, and Infrastructure roll out.
This included vendor selection, ordering equipment, project/time
management, installing and configuring numerous servers, routers, switches,
telephones, printers, fax machine, end-user PC’s, power backups, and others.
§ Specialized
Cisco IP telephony scripting which saved the company $2,400 ($150/hr *16hrs for
a contractor) even though this contracted work should have been performed by
our vendor. I had to step up to the plate because our vendor disappointed us
with their uncompleted work.
§ The
local-area network was migrated from a small workgroup type environment to a
child-domain for our global wide-area network.
This included all data migration as well as equipment consolidation and
reorganization for specific tasks/roles.
§ Wireless
Network: I installed a Cisco Aironet
1140 AP WAP with advanced security.
§ Designed
and implemented telephony standards including extensions, voice mail, and
others.
§ Received
an award and supervisor recognition for completing this project with huge
success.
o
Other Key Accomplishments:
§ Established/wrote
new and current standards/policies for help desk requests including
hardware/software for end-users, email and domain accounts, and network shares.
§ Established/wrote
new and current standards/policies for other key areas including, but not
limited to, data security, data integrity, security, email use, general I.T.
use policy (in compliance with our global policy), Non-Disclosure Agreements,
as well as other industry “best practices” for network administration,
maintenance, and overall business ethics.
§ Setup
and maintained various types of servers including, domain controllers, file and
print servers, development and test servers, FTP/HTTP transfer servers, Citrix
servers, Oracle and SQL back end servers, financial and admin servers, staging
and test servers, support servers, and other customized server roles. This included a Dell SAN which consisted of a
Dell PowerVault 122T LTO-2 tape autoloader and a SCSI DAS PowerVault 220S.

customer support – One of their premier customers in the USA is T-Mobile. T-Mobile has the widest implementation of
Aircom’s software package Enterprise.
T-Mobile implemented a Citrix MPS 3.0 platform with supporting
blade-type servers (HP Proliant), an integrity server (Superdome) for the
Oracle database and included various SAN/NAS devices for the GIS and user
data. I supported these Citrix-based
implementations not only for T-Mobile but for all of Aircom’s North America
based customers.
§ Increased
productivity and communication (data sharing) within all levels of each
organization. Also included was
cross-functional or cross-department communication.
§ Company
Asset Audit – Completed a full hardware inventory audit to include all I.T. and
drive test inventory.

voice services. Most clients were large

position and used project management tools.
This life-cycle project management included gathering requirements by

deliver. Additionally, I had to
understand and meet certain migration plans to ensure a smooth provision of the
customer’s particular services. I needed
to understand various telecom/technology that included but not limited to
various routers, P2P, Frame-Relay, Private Line, Switched Voice, and more…

Training
– Subject Matter Expert for all of the
switched voice services staff and helped train or instruct the proper
methodology and best practices for implementing this technology. This also included setting standards, time
