PROJECT EXPERIENCE:
1. TITLE: ISDN Network Implementation in the
Laboratory Environment.
DURATION: July 2005 – November 2005
DESCRIPTION:
·
Studying and implementing an ISDN network for
laboratory demonstration and testing
purpose.
·
It involved with the entire process of planning,
designing, and analyzing ISDN network using various hardware and software
tools.
·
In this projects integration of voice (ISDN
telephones, analogue telephones) and data (router) over ISDN has been carried
out.
·
The concept of ISDN was studied in depth as part
of research. Network was designed according to the traffic given.
·
Two Ethernet networks were set up which were
connected to the ISDN network via ISDN router. Numbers of ISDN and analogue
telephones are connected to the ISDN network.
·
Network configuration is checked and various
tests are carried out to verify the
network design.
2. TITLE: Designing Wide Area Network for
Multistory, Multi-Building Campus using
Opnet IT guru
DURATION: March 2005 – June 2005
DESCRIPTION:
·
The task was to develop a wide Area Network
design for University campus
·
Each person was given the floor plan of
building. The task of the each person was to decide on the computing needs of
the building and then decide on a wiring / routing strategy.
·
Each person then connected his or her floor to
the main campus server through an ISDN network.
·
Entire process of designing and testing was
carried out using Opnet IT Guru 9.1, a software tool provided by OPNET
Technologies.
3.
TITLE: Designing an Auction Server using Socket
programming
DURATION: March 2005 – June 2005
DESCRIPTION:
·
This application serves
multiple clients and is implemented using C Socket programming in LINUX
environment.
·
Clients connect to an auction
server after getting validated by server.
·
Server sends the menu list,
which includes item name, item prize, detailed description and bidding option.
·
Client can select one of the options and
server executes the next step accordingly.
·
Using this application Client
can see the list of items currently present for bidding, prizes of items and
detailed description of items. Client can bid on an item as well.
4. TITLE: Calculating Time
difference between server and clients using Socket
Programming.
DURATION: July 2004 –
November 2004
DESCRIPTION:
·
This application calculates the
time difference between the Server and client time.
·
This application serves
multiple clients and is implemented using C Socket programming in LINUX
environment.
·
Time-server runs on specific
port and listens for client request.
·
When client sends a simple
request, server sends its current date and time.
·
If client sends a date and time, server
calculates the date and time difference between them and sends it to client.
·
Result is displayed on the
client screen.
5. TITLE: Online Registration for an
institution course.
DURATION: January 2001 – March 2001
DESCRIPTION:
·
Application was implemented using C in UNIX
environment. Main programming tools used were Linked list and File
handling.
·
The project was to design an application, which
will allow students to register for the course online.
·
It provided the information about the courses,
course schedule and course fees.
