For centuries the medical professionals have been aided in their diagnosis of certain types of heart disorders by the sounds and vibration associated with the beating of the heart and the pumping blood. The technique of listening to sound produced by the organs and vessels of the body is called AUSCULTATION. Our device also gives auscultation output. With the help of this device we can monitor and measure the heart beats per minute.

M.Tech Project:
Development of instrumentation
using electrical impedance spectroscopy to study the viability of seed
Germination of seed is essential for healthy and sustaining
ecosystem. The Electrical Impedance of seeds is a function of its biological
composition and moisture content. Thus the health status and germination
probability of seeds depend on their Bioelectrical Impedance. We have studied
the effect of moisture content on its electrical impedance and seed viability
by Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy Method. We have measured the bioelectrical
impedance of Rajma seed with a detailed analysis of the variation of its
resistance, capacitive reactance and the phase angle for different frequencies
as well as for different moisture content. We have drawn and studied the cola
Cole plot in R-X diagram for each of the seed specimen. We applied 1mA ac
constant current with a frequency range of 100Hz-8MHz by using Agilent 4284A
Precision Impedance Analyzer. Being an
efficient and reliable noninvasive technique the Electrical Impedance
Spectroscopy method can be used more effectively for examining the seed
viability in the field of plant physiology and seed science. The experimental
set-up consists of function generator, constant current source, Ag-AgCl
electrodes, phase detector, micro controller etc.
