•
Induction motors are a constant speed machine which
account for 90% of the electrical drive used in industry.
•
The wound rotor induction motor (WRIM) offers a lot
of flexibility for wide range of speed control compared to squirrel cage
motor. The Simplest speed control scheme
for wound-rotor induction motors is achieved by changing the rotor
resistance.
•
The undesirable features of the resistance control
can be eliminated by using a chopper controlled external resistance.
• This project
Proposes to design and development of high chopper frequency drive for wound rotor induction motor wound
rotor induction motor (WRIM) offers a lot of flexibility for wide range of
speed control compared with a
resistively loaded rotor chopper.
•
The Matlab/Simulink results of resistively loaded rotor chopper
will be obtained and analyzed in this project.

We did our mini project in Suzlon Energy Limited at their
Tirumala Site. The main objective of this mini project is to understand the
process of Power Generation through Wind Energy. Wind Power is the conversion
of wind energy into a useful form of energy.
•
The main objective of this project is to explain the
processes going in power generation through wing energy they are:
Ø site selection in
WTG
Ø wind turbine
generators at rated wind velocity and site
Ø voltage controls,
power factor in presence of wind energy and
Ø switch yard
We
finished our project successfully by knowing all the wind power conversion
systems etc.
