Resource Modelling and Application Scheduling in Grids
                     
Grids enable sharing, selection and aggregation of geographically distributed resources for solving large scale problems in science, engineering and commerce. However, real time management and composition of resources and services for scheduling becomes a complex undertaking. Hence, we try to simulate a grid environment using the popularly known toolkit 'gridsim'. Here, we simulate and understand the economy driven 'deadline and budget constrained algorithm'. The superiority of this scheduling is that it is an application oriented approach where we try to achieve lower job computation time there by increasing the quality of service.
                        We model the grid environment by assuming a few number of resources and users. The users submit their Gridlets (jobs/applications) to its Broker which decides the resource(s) on which it must schedule the job(s) based on the deadline and budget factors of the respective User. Simulation of the application is done and final number of gridlets executed out of the entire submitted is calculated.
