Projects

1)  PID Motor speed Controller.
     Description: In this project, a PID controller is created using microcontroller PIC16F877. The speed of a dc motor is controlled using this PID controller. The speed is sensed using a Hall effect sensor and it is converted into electrical pulses. These pulses undergoes Pulse width modulation and it is given back to the motor. The user can set a speed in rpm and the motor is made running in that speed.

2)  Micro bend Fiber optic Pressure Sensor.
     Description: A Device is developed that can be used in various industries for sensing the pressure exert
ed on a surface with the help of a optical fiber cable. The cable is placed in between two corrugated plates and force is applied on the plates. The force causes micro bends in the fiber and the light passing through the fiber varies. This is proportional with the pressure on the fiber.
