Project Manager for the ICD-10 Provider and Vendor
Contracting component of this $40 million project. Managed a cross-functional project team
comprised of IT and Business representatives. Also dealt with all external
parties, including Hospitals, Physician Groups, Ancillary Providers, and
Vendors. Followed Horizon’s project methodology for phase gate reviews and
delivered all required project artifacts on time. This Federal Mandate focused on defining and
planning an approach for engaging, coordinating, and managing Horizon’s third
party service providers and vendors with respect to systems, timing,
communications, external readiness, development tracking, and training. Project included:

Assessment
and Plan Development – Articulate Horizon’s direction, level of interaction
with providers and vendors in preparation to ICD-10. Assess the impact to providers and vendors and
determine their transition efforts and timing, as well as identify partnership
opportunities.

Engagement
– Implement the providers and vendors engagement plan to facilitate readiness,
coordination, and risk identification, including joint testing and user
acceptance testing.

Communications
– Coordinate an ICD-10 communication strategy, including the creation and
tracking of a readiness survey to identify the readiness and timing of the
remediation efforts of providers and vendors.
