Our Town Interactive (OTI) was a marketing startup
that offered affordable advertising for small businesses to connect with
thousands of on-lookers in Springfield, Missouri via specialized touch screen
technology and text message marketing.
Strategically located in high traffic areas, Our Town Interactive touch
screens were a utility for tourists or locals needing information. As CEO, tasks included software development,
outsource management (elance.com), draft limited liability/ NDA/B2B contracts
under local attorney supervision, bookkeep and payroll through QuickBooks, hotel
lobby lease negotiation, wholesale technology purchasing, wall-mounting installation
and repair, door-to-door sales, cold calling, graphic design, remote support
using LogMeIn, market research and strategy design, community involvement. Sold ownership to partner due to financial
difficulties.

Authorized Agent (No Longer in Business), Nov. 07 – July 2010
Initially hired as a Phone Technician; promoted to Sales
in March of 2008; promoted to Lead Tech June of 2009. Responsibilities included software unlocking
software for global use, screen/keyboard/charging port replacement; provide ten
hours per week of 1-800 in-bound technical support; attend district trainings; manage
