Senior Electronic Technician
As an experienced Senior Electronic
Technician, my responsibilities were to perform System Level Testing on
Electronic Units (EU) and troubleshoot to find Root Cause to failures. The testing performed included bench test, in
which I was required to use different test equipment, checking for opens and
shorts in the Power Blocks and checking for Isolation between the low voltage
and high voltage connectors to the chassis. This testing was required to be
performed prior to placing 270V dc on the UUT (Unit under Test). Equipment used for this testing included but
not limited to Multi-meters, Hi-Pot testers, and Power supplies. Following an Approved Test Procedure (ATP), I
performed Safe to Turn On Tests (STTO), Confidence testing, Vibration testing
(X and Y axis), Thermal testing, Altitude – bringing the Electronic Unit up to 65,000 feet, and finally Final Functional
testing.
If the unit failed at any time,
authorization by written documentation was given to proceed with
troubleshooting down to board level. All
observances found during the disassembly were documented using the approved work
instructions.
As part of the process, I assisted in
prepping the EU for shipment. This included clean up of the EU, paint touch up
and checking over all test data for completion. My responsibility was to
perform these checks before the Product or Quality Engineers received the data
pack for approval.
