HIGHLIGHTS
Achievement 1: Interfaced EDI Transactions with Proprietary

Improved the processing of electronically received orders (EDI 850) from the
company's "Channel
Distribution" customers by eliminating manual order entry, reduced
the time required for the orders to be processed, and significantly reduced
keying errors. Created and returned the
Transmission receipt set (EDI 997) to the customer. Researched the mapping of invoice database
information from the System i5 into the invoice data sets and receiving EDI
charge back transactions. All
development and research utilized the ANSI X12 standard for mapping the EDI
data sets into System i5 programs. Receiving and transmitting EDI data sets
utilized FTP (File Transfer Protocol) interfaces with the company's VAN.
Achievement 2: Off-site
Warehouse Operations: Equipment
selection, qualification, installation and systems modification radically
reduced the travel requirement between warehouses aiding in
controlling the company's fuel expenses and labour costs while increasing warehouse efficiency through
performing the receiving functions at the off-site warehouse.
Achievement 3: Labelling
of Contract Client Shipments: Installation of a third party label application significantly
increased the contribution to company revenue by providing the Contract
Business Unit with the ability to meet client specific labelling requirements,
ultimately allowing the company to win competitive bids valued between $1,000,000
- 10,000,000 dollars.
Achievement 4: FTP
Lock Box Deposit Information:
Reduced the man-hours
Accounts Receivable needed to post the daily payment information to the accounts
receivable system by 50% by eliminating approximately 4 to 5 hours of manual labour in this
department.
Achievement 5: Document/Forms Printing on the System i5:
Using IBM's AFP (Advanced Function Printing) to produce documents used in the
manufacturing process, this solution increased
the accuracy of filling of the company's Allergenic products. This document format also increased the departments efficiency by reducing the training time required for newly acquired personnel.
Achievement 6: Manager Document Creation and Distribution
