Following the merger of Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, the respective
systems had to be integrated, this integration required creation of new WAS
environments and a lot of changes on either side before and after integration.
Responsibility:
·
Creation of new WAS environments in ND/XD.
Engineering how many core-groups to have, distribution of applications/clusters
in core-groups. Configuring ODR. Generating ODR Plugin/ ND plugin then manual
updation of the Plugin file to match application requirements of ND or XD.
Creation of static/Dynamic clusters, deployment of applications, creation of
automated scripts for further ear/war deployments, configuration of
datasources, shared libraries , namespace bindings, MQ listeners , setting
other configuration parameters such as heap sizes, logging and tracing
parameters, Applying SSL certificates as required. Configuration of WAS
webservers, creation of websites.
