Duties include, assisting engineering with the
development & testing of new products used in government electronics
(COMSEC) communications security. Supporting the Altasec Via-Sat KG-250 &
KG-300 HAIPE (High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor) programming the
boards or units & trouble-shooting boards to component level. Maintained the board testing &
programming equipment, uploading new software revisions & resolving any
hardware/software related issues. Maintained the Via-Sat ESS Ethernet traffic
tester used to test 22 cryptographic units simultaneously in a controlled
thermal environment ie. (liquid nitrogen & inductive heat). On a monthly basis injected new electronic crypto
keys on the ESS traffic tester & generated new crypto Ethernet tunnels to
assure product would be appropriately tested to meet
U.S. & NATO/Coalition standards. Was
responsible for A.I.S. CIK (Cryptographic Ignition Key) tamper recovery
programming & any associated aspects of these procedures. Was also responsible maintaining the
vibration tester & all related tests & calibration processes. Supported the SDS-2000 KIK-20, a ruggedized
handheld fill computer that is used to download programmable cryptographic keys to Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI)
such as the KG-250 & KG-300. Was
extensively involved with First Article testing of this product for the U.S.
Federal Government National Security Agency (NSA) approval ie. thermal shock,
hot/cold, emersion, loose cargo, drop test, altitude, dust/sand, explosion,
salt fog, humidity, vibration & EMI (Electro-magnetic interference). Additional duties included for the SDS2000
program were ESS environmental testing
& lithium battery backup duration tests, software upgrades &
programming the Ultra 525TT Automation Series bonding dispensing system used to
apply electronic grade silicone during the assembly process of this product. Was extensively involved with doing source
inspections of product SMT (surface mount technology) boards being manufactured
at our suppliers facility & working with their engineering staff to provide
technical guidance & required government expectations. I presently have Secret Government clearance
& will retain that clearance for the next 8 years.

digital VLSI test systems & TEL 12XX/ P8 wafer probers. MOS-3 & 8 were then shut down, was
transferred to MOS-13.
