Duties include, assisting engineering with the development & testing of new products used in government electronics (COMSEC) communications security.   Supporting the Altasec Via-Sat KG-250 & KG-300 HAIPE (High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor) programming the boards or units & trouble-shooting boards to component level.  Maintained the board testing & programming equipment, uploading new software revisions & resolving any hardware/software related issues. Maintained the Via-Sat ESS Ethernet traffic tester used to test 22 cryptographic units simultaneously in a controlled thermal environment ie. (liquid nitrogen & inductive heat).  On a monthly basis injected new electronic crypto keys on the ESS traffic tester & generated new crypto Ethernet tunnels to assure product would be appropriately tested to meet U.S. & NATO/Coalition standards.  Was responsible for A.I.S. CIK (Cryptographic Ignition Key) tamper recovery programming & any associated aspects of these procedures.  Was also responsible maintaining the vibration tester & all related tests & calibration processes.   Supported the SDS-2000 KIK-20, a ruggedized handheld fill computer that is used to download programmable cryptographic keys to Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) such as the KG-250 & KG-300.  Was extensively involved with First Article testing of this product for the U.S. Federal Government National Security Agency (NSA) approval ie. thermal shock, hot/cold, emersion, loose cargo, drop test, altitude, dust/sand, explosion, salt fog, humidity, vibration & EMI (Electro-magnetic interference).  Additional duties included for the SDS2000 program were ESS environmental  testing & lithium battery backup duration tests, software upgrades & programming the Ultra 525TT Automation Series bonding dispensing system used to apply electronic grade silicone during the assembly process of this product.  Was extensively involved with doing source inspections of product SMT (surface mount technology) boards being manufactured at our suppliers facility & working with their engineering staff to provide technical guidance & required government expectations.  I presently have Secret Government clearance & will retain that clearance for the next 8 years.

Sr. Eng./Electronics Technician - MOS-13 CMP.  2002 to 2004
Was assigned to work in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planerization) to assist an engineering team.  CMP duties include; assisting with 200mm problem lots, running quals. on tools prior to running engineering lots.  Assist engineering, sustainers & techs to isolate problems associated with tools failing rate or particle quals. on Applied Materials 200mm. Mirra 3400, & OnTrak DSS 200 Series II CE Scrubbers.

Sr. Eng./Electronics Technician – Consolidated MOS-3/MOS-8 Probe.  2000 to 2002
Redeployed to assist with the merger of the two fabs & maintaining the test equipment.  Duties & assignments were the same as previous position.  Attended vendor factory maintenance classes for Teradyne Catalyst VLSI mixed signal test systems, Teradyne J971 digital VLSI test systems & TEL 12XX/ P8 wafer probers.  MOS-3 & 8 were then shut down, was transferred to MOS-13. 

Sr. Eng./Electronics Technician – MOS-8 Probe.  1999 to 2000
Redeployed to assist maintaining test equipment, since MOS-2 was getting ready to shut down.  Duties & assignments were the same as the previous position, but without the group leader duties.

Group Leader Eng./Electronics Technician – Consolidated MOS-2/MOS-3 Probe.  1997 to 1999
The two fabs merged, duties assignments were the same as previous position, although had additional equipment to maintain & additional technicians to supervise.  Coordinate vendor equipment beta-site reviews before committing to equipment purchase.  Maintained records of equipment mean-time to repair & mean-time between failures (MTTR/MTBF).  Maintained test equipment layouts for optimal floor space utilization, safety & operator ergonomic concerns.  Attended vendor factory maintenance classes for Teradyne A570, A580 & A585 VLSI mixed signal test systems & Progressive Systems Technology wafer handling OCR (optical character recognition) sorter. 

Group Leader Eng./Electronics Technician –  MOS-2 Probe.  1991 to 1997
Duties assignments, same as previous position. Kept inventory of all capital equipment & updating database for capital equipment depreciated values.  Reviewed equipment down time reports, quality control data & manufacturing data to plan & modify maintenance activities to determine optimal corrective actions.  Worked closely with vendor field service engineers getting updates on equipment status to ensure issues were being addressed via contract service agreements.  Attended classes through Motorola for MS Word, Excel, & Power Point intro, intermediate & advanced, Unix intro, intermediate & advanced & Statistical Process Control intro, intermediate & advanced.  Attended vendor factory maintenance classes for Teradyne A540 VLSI mixed signal test systems, HP-9490/9492mixed signal test systems, Advantest 3324/3326 VLSI digital test systems & Schlumberger Sentry 20/21 & Sentry 1650 VLSI digital test systems.

Group Leader Eng./Electronics Technician –  Memory, Mixed Signal & Micro-Controller Wafer Probe.  1988 to 1991
Duties/assignments, same as in previous position.  Wrote several controlled documents or specs. kept in file for reference of equipment P.M. procedures, calibration procedures, specifications, tolerances & safety precautions which include; Lock out-tag out & MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).  Attended vendor factory maintenance classes for Schlumberger Sentry 7 digital test systems & ESI model 80 memory laser repair.








Group Leader Sr. Electronics Technician – Blue-MOS Probe.  1985 to 1988
Daily duties/assignments include; Supervising technicians, setup techs & probecard/hardware support personnel - assigning projects, addressing priorities on equipment or hardware issues & assisting them with these issues or difficult tasks, product correlation issues or any test related problems.  Coordinate & schedule assigned equipment P.M.’s with manufacturing & engineering to work around their needs.  Maintained records of all metrology test measurement equipment to ensure test equipment was compliant with specifications & that all test measurement equipment was being calibrated before due dates were expired (NIST traceable).  Was also responsible for daily/weekly reports, employee attendance records, payroll, performance reviews & interviewing technicians.  Conduct dialog with technicians to discuss areas of concern, development guidelines, training, product scrap, quality, safety issues, maintenance or manufacturing issues, basically to ensure open lines of communication.  Communicated daily with manufacturing, management & engineering teams to discuss capacity issues, product run rates, product demand, process changes, quality issues, equipment status, safety issues and/or manufacturing concerns.  Attended Motorola Supervisory Policies & Procedures classes on a yearly bases.  Attended vendor factory maintenance classes for Teradyne J941VLSI digital test systems, Fluke 9010A Troubleshooting Philosophy & KLA 1007/1011 wafer probers.

I have worked in the semiconductor manufacturing industry for many years & adapted to notice areas of concern in an automated test environment;  whether it may be quality, quantity, potential failure mechanisms or equipment degradation.  I was able to implement many solutions to correct these problems or prevent the failure before it occurred.  I am a very creative and analytical thinker with the ability & the desire to diagnose faults or failures to find solutions to these problems or areas in need of improvement, repair or concern.  I can work with minimal supervision to meet the desired expectations & usually exceed those expectations.  I have been commended by my peers on several occasions & have received awards due to my relentless efforts to find solutions to difficult problems or issues on the production floor.  Participated on many problem solving teams to enhance factory performance which include; quality, quantity, efficiency & reliability.

Summary of Qualification:

Excellent skills using a variety of test equipment such as; multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, curve tracers, frequency generators, frequency counters, RF generators, parametric analyzers, A.C./D.C. power monitors (Dranetz-BMI), capacitance meters, variable AC/DC power sources, variable power supply loads & PROM burners.
Experienced & very capable of calibrating, repairing a variety microscopes including; Zeuss, Lietz, Nikon, Optem, & Olympus.
Networking experience include; parallel, thin-net, thick-net, RS-232, GPIB, CAT-5/CAT-6.
Proficient using a variety of precision mechanical measurement instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, combination sets & dial indicators gages.
Excellent soldering skills, from surface mount devices to wiring harnesses, as well as wire wrapping.
Mechanical abilities are exceptionally strong; either tear down & re-build, critical mechanical adjustment/calibration , design & fabricate.  Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic hardware as well.
Experience using sheet metal cutters, nibblers, sheet metal benders, tube benders, tap/die sets, drill presses, band saws & a variety of other common hand tools.
Have experience with CCTV (closed circuit TV), intercom systems, environmental controls & security alarms.
