(STP) system that is responsible for creating and booking Equity Swap
trades. I’m solely responsible for
designing and coding the entire front-end GUI for the application
using Java Swing. I’m also
responsible for enhancing their existing Equity Swaps trading
application “Delta One” which was also written in Java Swing. Both applications interface to JMS and
an Oracle database on the backend.
07/06 – 04/08. BEAR STEARNS – Interest Rate Derivatives Group

trading application. This application
allowed users to do real-time trading and reporting for Interest Rate
Derivatives. The original
application was written as a Calypso application using Java Swing and
was enhanced by the Bear Stearns development group. As a front-end GUI developer, I was
responsible for implementing all GUI design changes and enhancements
using Java Swing. The application
interfaced to an Oracle database on the backend.

their Full Level Tax application.
This application allows users to process monthly, quarterly and yearly
taxes for small businesses. The
application was written entirely in Java Swing. Was solely responsible for the interface
design and architecture and was the sole developer on the project
where I wrote all of the source code for the interface. Was also responsible for creating design
documents, providing interface demonstrations to users and participating in
weekly system meetings.
08/04 – 12/05 GFI – Credit Derivatives Group

Credit Derivatives interactive trading application known as CreditMatch. This was a real-time trading application
that provided traders and brokers with the ability to trade Credit Default
Swaps. Was involved in the addition
of Investment Grade Bond trading to the application. Was solely responsible and was the sole
developer in implementing a PubSub feature that sent bond feeds
from the CreditMatch application to Bloomberg and Reuters
pages using a ConteX Server.
Was also involved in adding Tranches, Asset Backed Securities and
Emerging Market Credit Default Swaps to Credit Match. The entire application was written
in Java and Java Swing and communicated with an Oracle database
on the backend using Sonic JMS.
Was involved in team design meetings and group code reviews, as well as
interactions with users (traders and brokers) and project managers.

Swing and ran as a stand-alone application on the client’s desktop. Application used the Java 3D package

application, including screen design, architecture design,
performance enhancement, as well as interfacing directly with the
research engineers. Made use of JDK
1.4.2, JBuilder, JUnit and Java 3D.
10/03 – 04/04. INTEGRATED TRADING SOLUTIONS – IT Dept

design and development of their Java
Swing, real-time equities trading system. This was a stand-alone Java
Swing application that provided up-to-date, real-time trading, charting and
tracking capability for their clients’ financial portfolios. This includes managing stocks, options, Level
I and Level II data, real-time charts and providing real-time news
updates. Was responsible for the entire
front-end portion of the application, which was written entirely in Java
Swing (JDK 1.4.3). Maintained all
dynamically updated GUI screens and windows. Maintained the interface to the Oracle 9i
database on the backend via JDBC.
Made use of Idea, JUnit and CVS development tools. Was also responsible for hiring and expanding
the front-end development team. Was
given the additional task of setting up the New York office for the company.
10/02 – 10/03 ENVISION CONSULTING GROUP – Application Software

Was the project leader, lead architect and lead programmer for
their Java Swing based Government Pricing System (GPS) and Claims Processing
System (CPS) for the Pharmaceutical
industry. Hired and lead a team of 10
developers. Designed and created the
entire CPS system from the ground up using the CMMI
software development process. We were a
level 2 shop moving to level 3. In
conjunction with the CMMI process, we used the Iterative/Incremental
life-cycle model and conducted the full life-cycle of development. Using Rational Rose and eventually TogetherJ,
I developed several UML diagrams.
I then coded a large portion of the application using Java Swing and
the JBuilder development tool. I
also coded several stored procedures and triggers using PL/SQL. Made use of SQL Loader to import
data into the database. The entire
front-end portion of the application was written as a standalone
application using Java Swing and connected to an Oracle 8i (or Oracle
9i) database on the backend using JDBC. I also enhanced and coded additional
functionality for their GPS system using Java Swing, Oracle
8i and JDBC. I also
accompanied the corporate partners to client meetings to assist in selling the
products.
03/02 – 10/02. ALLIANCE CAPITAL – Enterprise Technology Dept.

developed and coded a Java Swing GUI front-end for their SPARK –
Global Reference Master financial system.
This system was created as part of a data migration project,
which consisted of consolidating several different global financial systems
into a single system. This system would
then be used by all corporate financial analysts and investment brokers
worldwide. This system was developed
entirely in Java Swing using Oracle’s JDeveloper development
tool. Designed and coded all GUI screens
using extensive Java Swing/AWT and the Model-View-Controller (MVC)
design pattern. Interfaced the
application to an Oracle 8i database which ran under Unix. Used the Unix K-Shell environment to
run shell scripts to modify the database.
Developed Java methods to call the Oracle JDBC thin driver
methods. The application was developed
first as a client/server stand-alone application that ran from a network
drive. Developed a second version of
this application as a Java Applet in Internet Explorer 5.5, using
security policy files and certificates.

Developed and coded a Java Swing customer/client management
system for several local small businesses in the Orange County area. This system allowed businesses to store and
retrieve customer profile information, schedule visits, print reports, as well
as print financial statements. Was
involved in all aspects of the program’s life cycle, including: requirements gathering, writing
specifications, coding, testing, debugging and production rollout. The application was written entirely by me in
Java 1.3, using Swing/AWT on the front-end (Visual Café 4.0 was
the development tool). An Oracle 8i
database was used on the back-end.
Designed the entire database architecture, including all tables,
indexes, constraints, stored procedures and triggers. Connected to the database using the Oracle JDBC driver ver. 1.2.

programmed the Java Swing version of Merrill Lynch’s Limited Partnership System application. This application handled the processing of
all of Merrill Lynch’s limited partnerships, including all transactions
and distributions. Was involved in all
aspects of the program’s life cycle, including: architecture design, database
design (including architecture design, PL/SQL triggers, stored
procedures and JDBC calls), user interface design (using extensive Swing/AWT),
the programming of all classes and class objects, testing and
documentation. This was a Client/Server
application that used a Java
front-end running in a Java Virtual
Machine on a client’s Windows NT workstation and interfaced to an Oracle database on the back-end. It was originally developed using Visual Café ver. 3.0c (which
incorporated Java JDK ver. 1.1),
interfaced to an Oracle 7.3.3 database and made use of
an Oracle JDBC driver ver. 1.11b. The application was eventually upgraded to Visual Café ver. 4.1 (which
incorporated J2EE JDK ver. 1.3),
interfaced to an Oracle 8i database, using Net8 and made use of an Oracle
JDBC driver ver. 1.2.
3/97 – 3/98 DELOITTE & TOUCHE –

coded a Client/Sever based Financial Transaction System (the UIT (unit
investment trust) application) using Borland C++ and the Visual C++
development environment. This tool was
used by Deloitte & Touche to conduct tax and other financial audits for
their banking and brokerage clients. Was
involved in upgrading and adding additional functionality to the
application. Created additional utilities
to produce data feeds from outside banks and institutions. Acted as Database Administrator to
oversee and conduct all operations related to the UIT MS SQL Server database
(including backups, recoveries, adding users, etc…). Worked with the SQR report writer to
create dynamic database reports with the application.

This tool was used to create pharmacy networks for prescription coverage
for potential business clients. Designed
all low-level generic functions, wrote stored procedures and created the
majority of the application windows. The
Sybase database ran under Unix on a Sun Sparc Station. All stored procedures were written under Unix. Created function DLLs and stand-alone
utilities using Visual C++. Interfaced with department users and
management and was involved in all phases of the program’s life cycle.
