Full SDLC using
Waterfall methodology. My initial
assignment was to participate in High Level Design (HLD), Low Level Design
(LLD) and testing to support changes to the eXtended Account Database (XAD)
architecture and implementation of the Debit Card Initiative (DCI). Was then involved in the high and low level
design of the Flexible Product Infrastructure (FPI) initiative which is
designed to allow the bank to bring new products to market in a 30-45 day timeframe
rather than 6 months to a year.
Participated in data modeling of database architecture and impact
analysis on existing systems. This
included Data Flow Diagrams and impact analysis of SLAs(Service Level
Agreements). I was the technical lead
for ETL of product information and participated in XML design, storage and
presentation of same in the object oriented Java layer. This ETL was to interface with 8 other
systems, among them the data warehouse system.
I designed and prototyped the code necessary to accomplish this for all
systems using MicroFocus to eliminate the need for offshore development. Also utilized MicroFocus to parse Excel

Claims History files and extracts data for multiple user requests
simultaneously. Designed and implemented the mainframe side and middleware
portion of a large database inquiry and data distribution system for CMS. Also
participated in the data modeling and object oriented design of the object
oriented Java platform and data warehouse.
Used CICS/COBOL/DB2 and SAS on the mainframe, Sybase middleware and a
Java front end with intermediate storage on SQL/Server. Developed data dictionary and utilized data
modeling techniques to architect both the metadata and the request driver data. Developed dynamic SQL and Stored Procedure applications. Dynamically generated SAS jobs and JCL steps
for initial data extraction prior to further filtering. Achieved significant performance gains by

Full SDLC using
Waterfall methodology. My initial
assignment was to participate in High Level Design (HLD), Low Level Design
(LLD) and testing to support changes to the eXtended Account Database (XAD)
architecture and implementation of the Debit Card Initiative (DCI). Was then involved in the high and low level
design of the Flexible Product Infrastructure (FPI) initiative which is
designed to allow the bank to bring new products to market in a 30-45 day timeframe
rather than 6 months to a year.
Participated in data modeling of database architecture and impact
analysis on existing systems. This
included Data Flow Diagrams and impact analysis of SLAs(Service Level Agreements). I was the technical lead for ETL of product
information and participated in XML design, storage and presentation of same in
the object oriented Java layer. This ETL
was to interface with 8 other systems, among them the data warehouse
system. I designed and prototyped the
code necessary to accomplish this for all systems using MicroFocus to eliminate
the need for offshore development. Also
utilized MicroFocus to parse Excel spreadsheets to generate specs, COBOL code
and metadata. Worked on DB2 design to
modify tables for tuning batch streams to meet Service Level Agreements. COBOL,

Services on the CORE/IBIS team. The
Chase On-line REpository (CORE) system provides an information environment
capable of supporting the business rules and goals of the Bank. The Integrated
Bank Information System (IBIS) is a financial application that gives you the
ability to inquire and perform maintenance functions on business
processes. I performed analysis, design,
modifications, testing and implementation of CICS and batch COBOL programs and
their attendant job streams and DB2 tables.

Worked with the Medipac team. Medipac is a patient management/patient
accounting/medical records system from McKesson. Work involved modification to in-house
programs which interface with the Medipac files, aiding with upgrades to new
releases, and monitoring of production and test cycles. Software included COBOL/CICS/VSAM, Fileaid,
Intertest, Xray. Code manager used is Librarian. Dispatch was the report manager and FTP was
used heavily. Prototyped applications

Analyzed and wrote functional
requirements, system specifications and validation test cases for the
Enumeration At Birth(EAB) and Enumeration At Entry(EAE) systems at the Social
Security Administration. This work was

Worked in the HIPAA compliance section programming necessary changes to
format and edit EDI X12 based Healthcare transactions (type 837) for both
institutional and professional subscribers as well as Electronic remittances (type 835). COBOL/DB2 is
utilized for batch processing with IMS checkpointing. Work involves writing technical specs,
writing and testing new code and regression testing against baselines. Prototyped examples to share with staff using
MicroFocus Cobol. Software includes

Worked for Politec, a subcontractor on
the Data Extraction System (DESY) contract with the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS). Full SDLC. This system scans the National Healthcare
Claims History files and extracts data for multiple user requests
simultaneously. Designed and implemented the mainframe side and middleware
portion of a large database inquiry and data distribution system for CMS. Also
participated in the data modeling and object oriented design of the object
oriented Java platform and data warehouse.
Used CICS/COBOL/DB2 and SAS on the mainframe, Sybase middleware and a
Java front end with intermediate storage on SQL/Server. Developed data dictionary and utilized data
modeling techniques to architect both the metadata and the request driver
data. Developed dynamic SQL and Stored
Procedure applications. Dynamically
generated SAS jobs and JCL steps for initial data extraction prior to further
filtering. Achieved significant
performance gains by tweaking database access approaches and tuning code. Designed, defined and maintained DB2 tables

Integrated Collection System. Implemented checkpoint/restart processing in
