VAP backup and restore facility for the X80 chassis and Element Manager. The
Element Manager consists of a Swing GUI,
XML interface, JNI, and a command line interface. This allows users to restore an
application package to a pristine state, if it has been corrupted.

Created an automated test suite for the VAP Backup feature using TCL and Expect; saving SQA time performing regression tests.

OMC-P Element Manager using Core Java and Swing, in a Solaris
environment. The Element Manager is a multi-threaded,
multi-tiered product consisting of
client and server applications, an Oracle
database, and the Telica/Lucent Plexus switch. It configures multiple switches;
and collects and stores performance and fault data. Implemented new features,
touching all layers of the product.

Enhanced and updated the Web API to the OMC-P Server using SOAP, XML, and Tomcat.
Provided direct customer support and prepared customer code samples and training materials.
Media
Gateway Team (7/00 – 5/05)
·
As an integral member of the team that
produced the company’s first VoIP Media
Gateway, designed and developed the Controller module process that
configures and maintains PVC connections across the switch backplane from voice
server I/O cards to network interface I/O cards. The process performs equipment
handling, voice server and network card configuration, replicates database
information to a standby system processor, and performs equipment failover.

Defined and constructed a Media Gateway
Simulator Test Tool for the Telica/Lucent Media Gateway Controller using the
Data Connection Limited (DCL) MEGACO
stack. The Simulator allows Lucent to perform capacity testing of its Media
Gateway Controller without the use of expensive hardware. Written for Windows in C, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in hardware costs.
