To whom it may concern:
I would like to take this opportunity to
express my interest in working for your company. My work experience is focused in the fields of QA Engineering (software and firmware
integration testing), automation
scripting, backend software
development, test porting, white box API unit testing, and the development of
internal software applications (The development of QA software/firmware
testing tools).
My testing experience consists of developing software/firmware test plans, and software applications. I have developed automated tests that were written in C#,
C++, Python, and C (also .bat files, and shell scripting). I have experience in testing RTOS firmware
(Wind River VxWorks) in the MILS/seperation kernel area , TCF (Debug Agent),
and OCD (ICE/JTAG) testing. At one of my assignments I developed a hardware/software GUI based
testing tool that was interfaced with hardware, software and was used to
provide an environment for testing firmware. My experience
includes test automation scripting, process control programming/scripting, white box API unit testing, developing
and maintaining metrics, general FMEA, CAPA, and Risk Analysis documentation, developing testing strategies from system schematics,
executing tests over VMLogix LabManager, as well as
developing test cases from requirement
specifications. I have experience in the development of
software/firmware QA testing tools, test porting, as well as backend software development. I am
familiar with the software testing release life cycle, running minimum acceptance
testing (MAT), and acceptance/regression testing that are usually presented in
five phases: (1)Alpha (2)Beta/EAR – Early Access Release (3)RC - Release
Candidate, (4) RTM – Release To Manufacture and (5)GA - General Availability. I have experience
with both Windows and Linux environments.
My software experience consists in the development of internal, and external applications using (C# , C++, Python, embedded C (firmware), and Visual Basic (also
.bat files, and shell scripting)). I also have experience in the development of backend software applications. I
have worked with xml
persistence/serialization programming, distributed applications (general TCP/ip sockets, USB, RS232), database-programming applications
with ADO using
C#. I have further experience with Nunit testing, white box API unit testing, process control programming/scripting, in
the porting of tests, and software debugging. I have also worked with J1939 message frame parsing (I developed
a basic J1939 data
acquisition framework for one assignment).
My embedded applications (firmware) and hardware
experience consists
of writing/debugging embedded C programs for testing, porting of
embedded tests, RTOS (Wind
River vxWorks) testing in the MILS/seperation kernel area, ICE/JTAG (OCD) testing, TCF (Agent Debugger)
testing, J1939 (messageframe parsing), working with CAN bus systems, white
box API unit testing, and conducting
the physical analysis
of microcontroller applications. I have worked with control/data acquisition systems, developed testing strategies from system schematics and requirement specifications, and the documentation of software/firmware application behavior. I have
experience in the development of automated testing for
hardware, firmware, and software system tools. I also have experience in distributed
applications using general USB, RS232, and Ethernet TCP/ip sockets.
Thank you, for your time in reading this
letter. I look forward to any questions that you may have.
Sincerely,
Mia Robinson
