OBJECTIVE
My
objective here is to create a resume that you convince you to hire me. I am a nationwide project
superintendent that provides full service to my clients and employer that has
been laid-off and downsized as you can see from my resume. What I want you to
see is that I am a self-starting, energetic, meticulous, team player, and company
orientated that only build by approved building plan. I respect and enforce all
safety and company regulations. I believe in weekly safety meetings, project
meeting, great teamwork, daily reports with photos, working together building
great projects together. To keep clients returning, customer satisfaction is
the utmost importance! I constantly walk throughout the project daily checking
for safety and plan violations. I bring to your company the assurance
that any project I am assigned will be built by the approved plans, specs, with
the utmost craftsmanship required out of all subs, on schedule, and budget. I
believe a superintendent is the key person in any project. I will be quick to
listen to all ideas, and suggestions. Nevertheless,
I will be the one to make the final decision and require all to follow that
decision. I have been in construction for thirty-two years during this time I
have seen a lot that works and a lot that will not work. This means I can
foresee many problems before they become a problem. When I first started working
it was as a laborer, then carpenter helper, and then carpenter. After many
years of hard work I became an all phase carpenter, then foreman, and finally superintendent.
I believe I have become a specialist in mall tenant projects and my record
shows this. I understand these procedures and work well with local building
departments and landlords coordinators while following their rules,
regulations, and codes. I do not believe in manipulation or bull it does not
accomplish anything.
For
as my unemployment time it was due to lay-offs, family illnesses and deaths. I
have overcome all of these except for unemployment. I am actively looking for
fulltime employment with a financially secured national general contractor. However,
with unemployment and the economy down fall there are thousands to pick from. A
few like me with hands own experience and knowledge that can foresee problems
due to actually doing projects and others with college and paper degrees that
someone like me has to help when problems come are the one you have to pick
from. I have been unemployed for so long that it has crippled me financially
and left me where my employer will have to include transportation in my salary
and benefit package. I have my own laptop, camera, all-in-one printer which
faxes. Also, I have a MagicJack phone system that can be used for jobsite landline
which will not cost anything to use. However, company internet service and cell
phone service will have to be provided.
I
have always completed my projects by completion date, usually on budget, and
with full certificates of occupancy. I have never lost one day even sick when
assigned a project. This is due to my understanding there is no one to step in
to replace me short-term. I hope this explains my outlook and shows you that I
am the right employee to hire.
