Develop and implement strategic and operational plans, including budgets and forecasting for IT departments.  Direct development and execution of enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Promote strategic relationships between internal IT resources, government, vendors, and partner organizations. Oversee full lifecycle IT / IS design including planning, organization, and development as well as integration of systems.  Negotiate software services and support contracts. Pioneering introduction of technical documentation. Hold P&L responsibility for $4.2 million budget with 3 direct and 14 indirect reports.
§   Converting old Nortel PBX and Voicemail system to Cisco Call Manager VOIP reducing cost of supporting legacy equipment and introducing enterprise IM and collaboration toolset used by entire school district. 
§   Directed team that upgraded 1500 Cisco 1142, and 3502 wireless access points to meet growing demands for in school wireless and utilize the latest technology and hardware standards in six weeks.
§   Designed and implement core 6500’s replacement with Nexus 7000, 5000, and 2000’s
§   Introduced new clock and bell system in school district that is centrally managed replacing a 20-year old system. Controls all 40 schools’ unique schedules with a centralized IP based solution.  Uses VOIP phones for paging and teacher notification in the event of school lockdowns. 
§   Developed and deployed data dashboards to technical systems group enabling easy access to real time data specific to each group’s needs.  Dashboards contain data that is proactive in nature so each group can see issues approaching before customers call in complaining. 
§   Directed team that designed and implemented budget tracking process that eliminated use of Excel and deployed it on internal web servers.  Enabled all departments to use one budgeting tool across the entire district. 
§   Reduced annual support costs 14% for 2009–2010 by re-evaluating contracts for hardware and software.  Used actual usage data to further reduce the annual costs 7% for 2010–2011.
