applications using
L, Java Script, and AJAX.
Completed 70 projects including 23 new applications for Capital Group in
the two years contracted there, using Lotus Script and Formula daily and Java
Script, HTML and AJAX as needs required.
Applications developed:
·
Corporate Actions Workflow database – An electronic
form submittal and approval workflow.
Started with 9 forms and grew to 11 forms. Used daily for the routing and processing of
work requests across sites, averaging 2700 requests a month. Built reporting capabilities to allow
management to track workflows and productivity of associates. This was the first workflow database of its
kind to be used at Capital Group; with the introduction of this database other
departments requested similar applications.
·
Presentation Book Request Tool – This application
was based off of the Corporate Actions Workflow (CAWF) template. This application was for the submittal and
processing of Presentation Books to be used at seminars presented to
prospective investors/dealers. This application replaced an Excel Spreadsheet
being used by multiple associates. It
allowed for better reporting of work through views in the application and a
customized export to an Excel worksheet.
·
Loss Write-off Report application – Also based off
of the CAWF template this application tracked the submittal and processing of
Loss Write-off reports. Letters to
investors were also generated and stored in this application using a parent
child relationship to maintain the correlation between documents. Created a customized report function that
built an end of fiscal year report in an Excel spreadsheet to include
formatting, graphs, and inter sheet relationships. This report would take one associate 30 days
to prepare, the function created the report in just over 3 minutes.
·
Created a customized team room template for use by
Capital Group. 14 Team rooms are
inheriting design elements from this template.
Applications Maintained:
·
Loss Prevention Recovery System – A legacy Lotus
Notes application developed in R4 for the uploading a data file from a
mainframe application to create and process 3,000 documents a year. Currently the database is processing between
30,000 and 100,000 documents a month.
Re-wrote the upload agent to improve performance, went from creating 20
documents a second to 40 documents a second.
Created an archival system for the database to remove documents from the
working database to keep database size down.
·
Customized Auto response agents from mail-in
databases that needed to have safeguards built in to keep repetitive e-mails
from being sent due to out of office notifications.
