ACADEMIC
PROJECTS and DESIGNS:
Antenna and RF Designs
·
(Winter 2008) Study of a
Circular Polarized Slot Antenna Array: Applied concepts such as the
principle of duality, the equivalence principle, image theory, polarization,
impedance and feed locations, and array pattern analysis in the design of a
dual slotted antenna array. The design
was built and tested for 867MHz.
·
(June 2003) 2.85 GHz Ring
Resonator: Design
specifications used to meetlow loss and permittivity characterization
parameters. Built and tested.
·
(May 2003) 2 GHz
Narrowband Amplifier: To
obtain the design specifications, the amplifier gain was verified by stability
calculations, frequency scaled planar filters were implemented to pass and attenuate
selected frequencies. The amplifier was
fabricated and measurements included dynamic range, harmonic noise, and
third-order intermodulation.
Digital Designs
(Fall 2011)
HSpiceProgramming Projects using 45 nm Transistor Technology:
·
Dynamic Frequency Scaling:Focused on designing and
implementing several components of a dynamic frequency scaling system. The
antenna coil, a rectifier, a comparator, and a multiplexor tree. The system
output and final multiplexor switching delays were analyzed.
·
Analysis of a Ring
Oscillator: Using
minimum threshold voltages and various temperatures, the energy, power, and
propagation delay measurements were analyzed throughout the circuit structure.
(Fall 2010)
Cadence IC Schematic and Layout using 0.25 µm Transistor Technology:
·
1-bit Accumulator: Design specifications
were to use a flip-flop and also adder carry logic implemented using domino
logic, validate logic and carry out critical path analysis on both the
schematic and layout designs.
Other
Designs
·
8.60-8.70 GHz Slotted
Patch Antenna and Array
·
Phase Detector
·
4x4 Array Multiplier
·
4-bit Accumulator
