Director / IT Project Manager / Systems Analyst and Business Liaison
Director I Information Systems / Senior Project Management / Business and Systems Analyst /
Personnel Management / Business Liaison / Healthcare Claims and Provider Credentialing Software
Director I of Information Systems:
I have enjoyed a fast-paced career in the Information Technology field
working my way up from Programmer, and Voice and Data Communications Installer
to a Programmer/Systems Analyst and finally into IS/IT Management responsible
for all phases of the management of new systems, design and development and
hiring of new personnel for the IT Department.
I have worked for several firms over the years including Seagate
Technology, The Achievement and Guidance Centers of America, Inc., LION
Software, MBNA Bank of America – a National Firm, and Intracorp-a Cigna
Healthcare Corporation. My final two
positions at Intracorp were Manager of Strategic Infrastructure and Director
I. I was promoted to and served as a
Director for four months, despite having already given notice that I would be
leaving to accompany my husband to Honduras.
I continued as a consultant to assist and support my replacements for
several months.
Proven Record – Across all levels of IT
Project Management, Systems Analysis, Design, and Programming: I am highly organized, have administrative
expertise and manage people and projects with skill and confidence. I am extremely proficient at estimating costs
and timelines for IT projects and meeting those timelines. I have never led a project that did not go
on-line virtually without a flaw. Over
my career I have run cables for voice and data, managed phone PBXs, security
systems, run data cables for new terminals, built new PCs out of spare parts,
and managed multi-million dollar projects that could have cost a company
millions of dollars if they had not gone on-line on-time had not met specific
business requirements. I have slept at
my desk debugging C Programs because a programmer couldn’t find the error that
was affecting my project timeline. I trained personnel in the use of Structured
Development Methodology, met with potential customers to describe how our
software can process their patients’ Mental Health and Substance Abuse
Referrals/Claims and find them a provider in their area better than our
competitors. I know IT from the bottom
up. This is what makes me one of
the best in the field.

As Manager of Strategic
Infrastructure for Intracorp, I managed the STD/LTD Project and performed as
Intracorp’s Project Manager for Cigna Healthcare’s new Integrated Disability
product. My role with Cigna was in a
Business Liaison/Systems Analyst capacity.
I assigned myself as the lead Systems Analyst in these Projects and
wrote all Conceptual and Functional Design Documentation. I built a cross-functional team of Project
Managers, Programmers, and Programmer/Analyst as Manager for the Strategic
Infrastructure Department and hired and trained my replacements (3) when I
resigned my post.
·
As Data Processing Manager for
the Achievement Center, I wrote a proposal for a new system to replace their
legacy PC-based Patient Claims system.
Given the budget, I proposed a mini-computer with the appropriate
peripherals to develop the new system. I
reverse engineered the current system; then designed, coded, trained,
installed, and implemented this system single-handedly in 8 months. I was given a bonus and a raise and a
promoted from Data Processing Manager to Manager of Information Systems. Three years later, due to massive increase in
sales/profits and thus increase in data, I ported this software and data to a
new, larger system (from VMS to ULTRIX) to handle the anticipated increase in
the database load and increase in memory and CPU usage. I built a self-sustaining team over the first
year and managed the successful operation of the IT Department for 4 years.
·
For four months is Germany, I
re-designed and re-coded a portion of the accounting front-end software for
LION to comply with German GoB standards for their Wireless Telephone software
system “CASS”. This critical project
enabled our customer to comply with the German auditing standards. I was greatly rewarded by the parent company
for my achievement.
·
At LION, I reverse engineered
all of “CASS” including flowcharts, system technical design specifications and
conceptual/functional design for the German parent company, which needed the
documentation.
