PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
Secure
E-mail Client Application May’13
to till date
ü The objective of this project is to develop a
desktop application named Secure EC Email Client which encrypts all the emails
sent using the application. The application is implemented with the
proprietary encryption algorithm which encrypts
all the email sent and decrypts at other end, capable of accessing the user's email mailbox.
Secure
TCP/IP Chat Application Jan’13
to Apr’13
ü The objective of this project was to develop a
desktop Server-Client TCP/IP Chat application named Legate which is used for
internal communication using LAN.
ü Implemented
2-Tier Architecture Server-Client application used for communication, internal
assessment, Online Library management, file transfer, private messages and
group chat.
ü The
application uses MySQL for storing the entire messages, all the communications
are encrypted using A-DES with some more security mechanisms.
Smart
Card Reader Handheld Terminal Design Apr’12
to Dec’12
ü The objective of this project was to design 2handheld
terminal devices which could read
RIC given by Indian Ministry of Home Affairs with security features provided by Registrar General of India (RGI) and Marine Fishers Identity Card given by Indian Ministry of Agriculture with security features provided by Dept. of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (DAHDF).
RIC given by Indian Ministry of Home Affairs with security features provided by Registrar General of India (RGI) and Marine Fishers Identity Card given by Indian Ministry of Agriculture with security features provided by Dept. of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (DAHDF).
ü Implemented complete application interface for both
the terminals which could authenticate the card, verify PKCS7 Signature of the
given authority, display the card information and fingerprint verification.

Marine Fishers Identity Card (MFIC) and
National Population Registrar (NPR) Apr’11 to Feb’12
ü
The objective of MFIC project
was to give Biometric Smart Cards named MFIC with Unique Fishers Identity Number
(FIN) for fishers all around India after collecting the raw fisherman data and
digitally signed by DADF Authorities.
ü
The object of NPR project was to give Biometric Smart Cards named RIC
with Unique National Identity Number (NIN) for all usual Residents of India
fishers after collecting the raw resident data and digitally signed by RGI
Authorities.
ü
Written all necessary applications for retrieving data from MYSQL
database, perform minutiae extraction, generating FIN and NIN, digitally sign
the data that goes into the Chip and in database and personalize the Smart
card.
ü
HSM Interface Application: An Interface to Hardware Security Module
(HSM) which performs cryptographic operations viz., Deriving Triple DES Keys to use in security environments
of Smartcard for various purposes such as, Authentication (Internal/External/Mutual),
Data Updating, Encryption/Decryption and Verification of Smartcard, importing
keys into the security world and generating Digital
Signature for the data. The
application also had the features of encoding the cryptographic data according
to PKCS #7: Cryptographic Message Syntax for Exchange and developed
as
PKCS #11 compliant.
ü
MX 6000 interface: An interface to Smartcard
Personalization machine (MX-600, Datacard Machine) to
write resident’s data into
Smartcard Chip. The interface is a multi-threaded application such that the
main controller has at most 18 instances of this application personalizing 18
Smartcards simultaneously.
ü
NPR Data Enrollment Application: Developed a GUI
application in Java to enroll the
details of Indian
Residents for NPR. The Application has the features for Enrolling
details of residents like name, date of birth, education and address etc., live
enrollment of biometric data, live photo capture and Live Finger
Print Capture in compliance with ISO standards.
Encryption and Key Generation
Algorithm Nov’10 to Mar’11
ü
Implemented our own proprietary Encryption algorithm for
encrypting any file.
ü
Implemented various key generation algorithms designed by R&D
team which has been deployed to Indian Army and Navy. Also designed an
application to load the Keys into Key-Fill Guns.
Key Sharing Algorithm Aug’10 to Oct’12
ü
Designed and implemented my own Key sharing Algorithm in which a
key can split into ‘N’ ways so that Minimum ‘n’ ways is required to regenerate
it.
