Project Manager:
Methodology: Full Life Cycle/PMBok/SDLC
Project
was the Spinoff of Travelers Life & Annuity from Travelers Insurance Co.
This was the removal of all Corporate Systems from the TPC platform (Mainframe
& Server based) and the implementation of those systems on the Citigroup
platform (Mainframe & Server based) located in New York . The project budget was $22 million
consisting of 100(+) personnel. Our project included thirteen (13) Millennium
Based applications with three (3) Multi-mill General Ledger’s & three (3)
Fixed Assets. This also included six (6) SDT developed in-house systems.
Initial requirements of Project deliverables were re-evaluated and some
eliminated due to better understanding of the applications and their
relationship within interfaces to each other. With the number of applications
being migrated we used a stand-alone approach with a Waterfall project control
methodology. All systems source code was
maintained within the Endevor environment. All modules (1200 members) within
Endevor libraries on the TPC platform had to be re-cycled within Endevor loaded
onto the Citigroup platform The Endevor library was the common thread for all
of the applications. This process
included the creation of three CICS/Millennium regions to perform Unit, System
& QA testing. All Systems to be run on the Citigroup platform were
flowcharted using Visio to help in implementing CA7 Scheduling. Due to the
relocation of the applications some of the distributed input will be using
Microsoft Web-Net technology to communicate.
