VISTA is the core application
used to support Hartford Life’s individual annuity products. It was designed
and implemented using fat client “architecture”. A new architecture for VISTA , commonly referred to as the QUEST architecture,
was created and implemented for all new development starting with the Quest
project’s initial release in 2005. It
has its roots in the object-oriented paradigm and works to separates the
application into layers: user interface, business logic, and data access. The
main objective of this project is to enable the user to establish a contract,
maintain a contract and do asset distribution at the time of liquidation,
annuitization and death claims.
