Materials Manager

  • Assist on a 120,000-sqf expansion for fifty-six new production lines (PC Board assembly), $ 6 million expenditure.
  • Design, maintain and control timelines and budgets for above projects.
  • Finished goods and raw material pull system implementation across raw materials warehouse, production floor and finished goods warehouse.
  • Forecast $ 150 million sales and $ 110 million raw material.
  • Establish and refine the application of LEAN manufacturing including Kaizen events, Kanban, First Time Quality, JIT, and QS principles.
  • Review and audit of Materials department procedure in accordance to QS9002.
  • Implementation of handling, labeling, packaging, storage of flammables and non flammables materials in accordance to MSDS.
Selected Highlights:
  • Migration of BPCS to SAP system without jeopardizing customer demands, production schedules, and vendor’s releases.
  • Bar code implementation across all Incoming warehouses, production control, shop floor, shipping and receiving transactions, and finished goods warehouse.
  • Inventory reduction from $ 11 million to $8 million on raw materials; work in process and finished goods, improving days in hand from 50 to 28, & inventory accuracy to 97%.
