for bringing a newly emerging high performance packer through successful
field test and commercialization stages.
Working as a support engineer for active field test locations.
- Working
to improve the manufacturability of the tool as well as the legacy
reference design. Manufacturablity improvements
include an increase in first pass yield for inspectable components as well
as a decrease in parts returned for non-conformances.
- Working
to improve marketability of tool by defining and testing an operational
envelope for the tool using an internationally known standard.
- Responsible
for the initial characterization and testing of seals designed for ultra
high pressure and high temperature applications. Responsibilities included fixture
design, test design, and results analysis.
- Active
on a team of volunteers working to improve the quality of products released
by the Downhole Testing group.
Quality initiatives include analysis of existing quality issues,
promotion of proper reporting techniques for the issues, and education to
group members on the findings.
- Performed
design modifications and validation testing on tools as requested by field
locations. Since requests were for
variations to commercialized designs, a broad understanding of the complete
product line was required.
- Responsible
for transforming a preliminary design concept of a mechanically operated
debris tolerant shifting mechanism into a manufacturable product.
- Performed
engineering calculations, modeled components in Pro/Engineer, and
generated manufacturing drawings.
- Proficient
in Pro/Engineer, Pro/Mechanica, MATLAB, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and
Microsoft Project.
- Some
experience with C++ and ANSYS.
- Fluent
in written Spanish. Semi-fluent in
conversational Spanish.
