Objective

as a Help Desk / IT Intern at major video game developer, 7Studios (sevenstudios.com).
Duties included providing tech support to approximately 150 employees,
troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, inventory tracking and
management, OS Deployment and configuration, system backups, Project lead for
redesign and implementation for the company’s intranet site using integration
with Active Directory, Bugzilla and Exchange. Independent projects include:
designing and implementing a FreeBSD firewall using IPFILTER with NAT, traffic
shaping (QoS) and bandwidth load-balancing to replace the increasingly-antiquated
Linux iptables system; Redesign and Implementation of company intranet site,
set up and maintaining T-Wiki Server and migrating company documentation.
Help Desk / IT Intern – City
of West Hollywood (March 2009 – March 2010)
One year IT Division internship
at the City of West Hollywood, City Hall. Duties included providing both
software and hardware support to city employees, both onsite and offsite,
creation, deletion and maintenance of Active Directory and Exchange Server
accounts and permissions, creating and maintaining documentation on SharePoint
server, creating, deleting and completing Help Desk tickets on SharePoint
server, travelling to off-site City locations to troubleshoot problems and
provide support. Administration, maintenance of virtual servers using ESXi and
migration of physical servers to virtual, Remote Access (VPN) using Cisco
Systems infrastructure and Terminal Services. Deploying Windows Updates to city
workstations using WSUS, setup of RIS (Remote Installation Services) and eventually,
Windows Deployment Services (WDS) servers for remote OS deployment, and SCCM
setup and administration, supervising nightly and weekly back-up procedures for
SAN storage system, storing back-ups offsite in a secure location, and
maintaining and ensuring reliable uptime of the City’s public WiFi network.
