Dispute Advisory Services
·         Assisted a leading international oil and gas company with business interruption loss work.  This included the accounting analysis of large dollar value claims and performing extensive data analytics to identify key trends and anomalies in the claimant population.  Also assisted with the analyses used to build provisioning models. Prepared weekly reports and presentations for the client for use in management meetings.
·         Provided accounting litigation support for one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers related to accounts receivable credits disputed to be escheatable property.  Acquired a strong knowledge base surrounding the standards and practices of the healthcare accounting field.  Primary role involved the effective interpretation and documentation of complex healthcare accounting issues, including an analysis of the client’s accounting practices as compared to the standard accounting methodology used in the healthcare field.

Investigations
·         Assisted a Fortune 500 U.S. financial institution with the reconstruction of customer accounts that were potentially linked to fraudulent activity.  This included the input and analysis of thousands of transactions from client data to identify possible illicit fund transfers. 
·         Assisted a small state county with an investigation into its treasury department to reconstruct the embezzlement scheme used by a treasury employee.  This involved gathering, securing and analyzing evidence related to the investigation, becoming familiar with the treasury department’s tax collection process and related software, documenting the reconstruction/investigation procedures, and drafting the investigation report.  The investigation report was used by the County Sheriff’s Office and Solicitor to successfully charge the employee and accomplice on multiple counts of embezzlement and criminal conspiracy and was also used by the County Administrator as an audit of the internal controls of the department.  
·         Aided in the investigation of a district school system for alleged cheating on standardized testing.  The investigation included interviewing various members of the school system, including: executive directors, principals, teachers, secretaries, and students (team interviewed over 100 people in total).  Performed extensive email reviews and data analytics which were utilized to help identify key trends and persons of interest.  All findings were compiled into a report which was shared with the press.    
·         Experience with electronic document discovery and review.

External Audit
·         Participated in KPMG’s Audit/Forensic rotational program and successfully completed two busy seasons in KPMG’s Audit practice.  Gained valuable experience in both audit and SOX test work, completing year-end and quarterly audits for clients in the life insurance and manufacturing industries. 
·         Assisted in the audit for the IPO of one of the nation’s largest independent financial services marketing company.  Gained experience auditing such accounts such as A/ R, A/P, Inventory, Investments, Actuarial, etc.
