¨ Test and turn up STS, DS3, Trunk Group and
T1 connections in each regional tandem with the LEC’s building out the TWC VOIP
network. Confirm DS3’s are market ready and built according to network planning
specifications. This involves confirming
network mapping and test access points in the Fujitsu DWDM, and troubleshooting
DS3 build out issues on the fiber ring. Trunk turn up and troubleshooting; verifying
point codes, hunting sequence, performing COT and Glare test. Confirming all Trunk
groups and T1’s have been built with the correct TCIC’s, build and verify trunk
terminations in the tandems, build all voice interface (silent suppression and
echo cancellers) for all T1’s and add
Circuit Identification to all DS3’s and T1’s in the media Gateways.
¨ Contact LEC to confirm LEC order completion
and testing. Report any circuit failures with the local LEC, opening repair
tickets on all circuits, coordinating technical bridges and escalating internally
following proper protocols. Confirm circuit fix using JDSU to test head to head
with LEC network tech.
¨ Update
circuit orders and test completion results in Expo and Granite to be released
and turned over to the NOC to complete market service activation.
