Arabic Morphological
Analyzer — Java Developer
Alawy, LLC has developed a Java (J2EE) Arabic
morphological analyzer that has tested (in-house tests) at 97% accuracy. This
tool is essential for automatic translation and semantic and syntactic analysis
of Arabic language passages.
Arabic Lexicon and Machine
Translation — Researcher and Java Developer
Alawy was asked to provide a solution
component that provides Automated Translation of Arabic data for a government
contract (CPA). The data consisted of 24 million entries spread across multiple
databases. The project had several parallels to this one.
We developed an Arabic-English dictionary
containing 83,000+ entries. This dictionary can be accessed network-wide
through a web interface, or as a stand-alone application. Used in conjunction
with our morphological analyzer, it can return narrow-range to exact word
matches. Used alone, it returns a wider array of possible matches.
Arabic Dog Tag Embosser
Transformation Maps — Java Developer
We have developed systems designed to support
virtual-to-physical mapping of multiple unique Unicode encoded Arabic
characters (and their forms), whose computational permutations numbered more than
300 code-sets to a physical set of character dies that numbered less than 100.
We created an extensive Arabic Unicode to ASCII character look-up table which
allowed for the automatic substitution of multiple, visually similar, but
computationally unique Unicode codes for a single ASCII equivalent. This ASCII
equivalent represented a Latin-1 character that was mapped to a real-world die
space on a machine used to emboss metal plates. The system was to be used to
create Arabic dog-tags for the Iraqi army.
Arabic Women's e-News
Localization Site — Coldfusion Developer
Women’s eNews is a media site providing original content
on issues important to women. Alawy was enlisted to develop the Arabic language

Montada Zanuba Localized
Message Board — Java Developer

users of AlefBeh, Alawy’s free Arabic/English email service to post messages
and start discussion threads.
Zanuba Enterprise Content
Management System (CMS) — Java Developer
Zanuba is Arabic language content management software,
which we developed from open source technologies. It is built using Java
technologies and fully supports Unicode encoding. Zanuba’s interface is
entirely in Arabic, and it allows clients to publish Arabic (or English)
content to their website.
AlefBeh Java WebMail — Java Developer
AlefBeh is the first product created by Alawy, LLC. It is
a web portal that provides users with a free, bilingual email service. The Java
Web Mail was developed by Alawy to provide users with full Arabic support when
typing emails, even if their computers did not provide Arabic support. It,
also, includes a Java keyboard, which could be employed to type the messages if
the user were unfamiliar with the Arabic keyboard layout.
AlefBeh C++ / Java Arabic
Chat Client and Server — C++ and Java Developer
AlefBeh’s chat server and client are built using
technologies adapted from our Java Web Mail service. It allows users to chat in

A thorough analysis of the current structures of the
different HTML sites was conducted to formulate a better approach of converting
those documents. Once the design was complete, PHP engine was built to render
