For the past fifteen years I have been working as a Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst for various companies managing in-house development, off-shore development, COTS implementations, and infrastructure implementations. Following is a list of companies and tasks that have been performed.

05/11-Pre Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *Millennium Laboratories*

  • Managed the development of a Laboratory Information System and a web portal for Practices to access. Project consists of receiving orders electronically, to sending test results and reports through an HL7 Interface to various EMR’s.  Development of system is done off-shore with a vendor.
  • Responsibilities also include working with the business to develop requirements and functional specifications.
  • Agile Methodology. ASP .Net environment.

9/10- 01/11 Sr. Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *CareFusion*

  • Managed the development of a prototype to electronically send ventilator data into hospitals electronic medical record system.  System interfaces through HL7 interface with external systems to create an EMR record, alerts for clinicians and reporting trends for data analytics.

  • Responsibilities consist of developing user needs, user stories, requirements, project Schedule, managed budget, created IP assessment, systems hazards, project charter and product concept.  Managed tasks through Team Foundation Server. Worked with Clinicians to develop current and future state workflows.  Worked with developers to design screens in Sketchflow and Silverlight.  Agile Methodology and .NET Environment.

02/10 - 03/10 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *Home Savings of America

  • Responsibilities consist of developing workflow for a mortgage regional office, to develop a rules orchestration layer and workflow application which includes web and BizTalk.  Developed project schedules, requirements and maintained budget.

·         Managed the development and implementation of a new underwriting application.  Developed and managed proof of concept, project schedule, and budget.  Identified and developed risk and mitigation plan.  Managed business analysts through the development of requirements, specifications, test plans, and test cases.  Managed the development of an in-house application, which was co-developed internally and with a vendor.  Project managed the development of an Integration layer (ESB), so Insurance Companies of the West could integrate with multiple systems.  Schemas were developed using the ACORD standard.  Managed infrastructure and security teams for setting up servers and user security.

·         Responsible for setting up a new integration environment for Predictive Analytics.  Managed infrastructure team, developers and vendor for implementation.  Developed and managed project schedule, budget, and risks.  Created documentation so Insurance Company of the West can duplicate this environment in the future.  This integration environment consists of IBM Mainframe (Cobol, JCL, and RDBMS), SQL server, Cold Fusion, ASP, Java.

9/07 - 12/07 Senior Project Manager *LPL Financial Services*          
                                                                                               
  • Senior Project Manager, responsible for managing the setup of a disaster recovery site for LPL Financials Compliance and Order Management for Annuities System, called Blue Frog Software.  Managed in-house infrastructure team and off-shore software vendor.  Managed schedule, budget, identified risks and developed mitigation plan.  Worked closely with Chief Technology Officer.

3/07 – 9-07 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *VERTICE, a division of Wachovia Securities*

  • Primary Liaison between Business units and the Technology group for the design and implementation of a new Broker Point of Sale System and a Branch Pricing Portal.  This portal interfaces directly into the Loan Origination System, MindBox Automatic Underwriting and Pricing and FileNet imaging system.    Held JAD sessions, developed requirements, and managed off-shore developers.  Managed the implementation of MindBox pricing engine. SQL, Java and .Net environments.

12/03 – 3/07 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *SCME Mortgage Bankers, Inc*

·         Project managed the development of an Enterprise Mortgage Solution, by developing a Service Oriented Architecture which utilizes Web Services, ESB, Workflow Management (BPEL), Business Process Management, and “Best of Breed” solutions for wholesale, retail, prime, and non-prime business channels.  

·         Managed the development of the companies Internet and Intranet.

·         Project managed the in-house development and implementation of an imaging system through Agile Life Cycle.  Developed Requirements, test plans and test cases.

·         Developed requirements and vendor score cards. Project managed various vendor implementations including Pricemyloan, DISSCO for fraud, Great Plains Accounting Software, Intellimine Data Warehousing,  and MindBox Automatic Underwriting and Pricing System. 

·         Created requirements and vendor score cards. Developed and documented the current business processes as well as “Best Practices” utilizing Proforma Corps, Provision ProcessPro Software.  

·         Developed Software Development Life Cycle’s utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.  Developed and managed budget, project plans and requirements. SQL, Oracle, Java and .Net environments.

07/03 - 11/03 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst *Hewlett Packard*

  • Responsibilities included development of the project charter, project schedule, and risk mitigation plan.  Led JAD meeting and developed requirements for additions and modifications to Supply Chain Management System.  Other assignments include the development of Product Data Sheets for multiple projects.

12/02 – 4/03 Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst * Intuit *

  • Responsibilities include the vendor selection and implementation of a Portfolio Management/Resource Management System (Kintana) for the Tax Engineering Group.  Held JAD sessions with various Business Units to develop requirements and Use Cases.  Developed RFI’s, project schedule and budget. Set up vendor demos.  Developed score card for vendor selection..

01/01 – 12/02 Project Manager/Lead * Sempra Energy Corporation *

  • Project Manager for implementation of Capital Projects for Human Resources Information Technology Distributed Systems Department. Provide analysis and project management for various projects utilizing software development life cycle which includes JAD sessions for development of requirements, developed estimates project schedules and risk mitigation plan for web based applications written in HTML, Java ASP, COM, Cold Fusion, Visual Basic and interfaces to our legacy systems. Applications implemented are as follows:

3/00 - 12/00 Lead Project Manager * Computer Science Corporation *

  • Lead Project Manager of the Infrastructure Team for the County of San Diego project. Duties included strategic and operational planning. Responsible for flow of multiple technical projects, training of staff, and communication of processes/procedures for 12 Infrastructure Project Managers.  Project Management duties included those within standard methodology for project activities in their entirety, including contingency planning and deployment. The scope of responsibility included the change control process-inserting servers into COSD legacy network environment, promoting planning processes to guide the client’s technology investments.  Technical assessments included hardware from IBM mainframe, midrange and Client/Server technology involving integration of over 35 software applications in a legacy environment. Tools included MS Project, Office 2000 and CSC proprietary Catalyst Methodology and other PMI recommended methods.  Negotiated and managed multiple vendor subcontracts of $30 million.  Oversaw strategic planning and risk mitigation. Performed budget analysis and reporting.  Prepared Business case justifications and test plans.

1/99 - 12/99 Project Manager/Business Analyst * Community Care Network *

  • Project Manager/Business Analyst for the conversion of Computron 3.0 software running on a DEC VAX/VMS platform to Computron 5.0 running on a DEC Alpha Unix system with Oracle RDB. Conversion included Accounts Receivable system written in SAS to Computron 5.0, and all interfaces. Responsibilities included ensuring Y2K compliance for financial applications CompuShare and Computron and interfaces. Designed and implemented project plans for Y2K readiness of financial applications and interfaces. Developed testing methodology. Successfully completed testing for Y2K utilizing Mercury Interactive Software. Produced documentation utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio.

10/98 - 3/99 Project Manager * SmithKline Beecham *

  • Project Manager overseeing thirty-one laboratories in Southern California to ensure Y2K compliance. Responsibilities include assessment of all instruments, hardware software, and interfaces. Set up groups for testing various instruments and PC s. Work with vendors to ensure Y2K compliance for software and hardware. Set up test environment for  third party laboratory information system software on Unix and VAX/VMS systems. Software applications include Cerner, Citation, Meditech, HBOC, Biovation, HSS, SunQuest, TopLab, and Pero. Developed and implemented Testing Methodology.

8/95 - 8/98 Project Manager/Business Analyst * Olsten Health Services *

  • Responsibilities include analysis and identification of Financial, Clinical and Reimbursement applications written in Cobol/Oracle relational data base environment on a DEC OpenVMS platform. Extensive use of SQL. Generate financial reports using Xentis report writer. Responsibilities also include Year 2000 analysis, setting up and testing software for third party vendors to ensure Y2K compliance. Set up test environments and test for system software upgrades. Connected via Network as a telecommuter to Olsten s IT offices in Kansas. Other projects include technical consulting on DEC VAX, IBM PC s and Macintosh systems including Ethernet, DECnet Pathworks, and Appletalk networks. Duties include system management and upgrades. Design, code and implement various business applications using COBOL/Oracle relational database and Xentis. Present project status to management using Power Point. Wrote technical and user documentation utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus, Word Pro, and WordPerfect. System support and training.

5/89 - 9/94 Data Center Manager * Intracorp *

  • Managed DEC VAX cluster data center, including Macintosh work stations and IBM PC s for medical review
    utilization company. Provided front-line systems support to doctors, nurses and management staff. Installed and customized operating systems. Wrote custom 4GL DBA sales analysis reports using Xentis, Focus, Dibol, Basic. Responsibilities included setting up and testing software for user acceptance. Wrote system functions utilizing DCL, setup and tested all system and software upgrades. Produced training and technical documentation with Microsoft Word and Excel.
