transactions,accounts receivable and payable management, scrutiny of trial
balance, reconciliation of TDS/Service tax ledgers, branch accounts&debtors
reconciliation,MIS, preparation and reporting of fund position on monthly basis
and of Balance sheet and Profit & Loss on quarterly basis,capitalisation of
expenses, detail working of depreciation as per new Companies Act , internalaudit
and Control toend responsibility of Balance Sheet Finalisation with recognition
& disclosure requirements of Accounting Standards, Schedule-VI.Handling
statutory auditors query and cooperating with statutory auditor to get audit
done.Ensure a proper internal control processfor records, transactions and
Accounting.Coordination with Company Secretary for ROC and Finance related
work.
Direct & Indirect Taxation(Act Applicable- Income
Tax, TDSand Service Tax):-
v Responsible for all tax and statutory compliances for
both Direct and Indirect Taxes including preparation and timely filing and
correction of returns (TDS, Income Tax, Service tax etc.)
v Identifying the reasons and
facts for any differences in allowable claims, raised demands & receivable
refundsinIncome taxassessmentsandTDS demand notices andonline rectification ofthe
same.
v Drafting and submission of
replies, rectification application to Income Tax and Service Tax Authorities.
v Computing &finalizing
monthly payment of Service Tax, TDS.
v Responsible for computation,
finalization and ensure timely paymentof different installments of Advance Tax &
Final Tax (amounts involved in which around 3 Crores).
v Well exposure of working for
scrutiny assessment along-with understanding of company’s business and non-business
profile and drafting of replies and preparation of the required details under
the guidance and supervision of CFO, Co-ordination and discussion with
consultant for the matters attending Assessment before AO and Appeals.
v Experience of base working
for Peak Amount involve in Search case from the base papers seized.
Professional Efforts at Dalmia Group:-
v Well understanding of MAT
and Normal Computation planning and given the suggestion to the management for
long term capital Loss/ Profiton Listed shares (Amount involved in Crores) to avail
maximum MAT availability or reduce tax liability.
v Pointed an error of
principle in Computation of Income Tax of the current year, effect of which reducedthe
tax liability of the Company amounting to Rs.30 to 45Lacs.
v Suggested for the Tax benefit
of 54EC against the LTCG arising to the company, which may result in Tax saving
of Rs. 10 Lacs.
v Well understanding of
Company business profile and non-business activities, presentation of balance
sheet items like investment in properties and Fixed Assets group for which pointed
out an error of principle in Computation and filing of Income Tax Return to
justify the Income under the head Business & Profession & Income under
the head House Property to justify the claim of business running expenses.
v Brought material changes in
the procedures and policies adopted by the company in respect of Accounting and
Taxation matters, monetary value is material but can’t be arrived at.
v Suggested to the Top management
not to involve in a group funding transaction(of material amount) which
attracts the Deemed Dividend provisions of the Income Tax Act.
v Well understanding of the
balance sheet/income statement items, MAT/Normal computationplanning, profile

restructuring / scheme of arrangement / demerger.
v During reconciliation with
