CAMPUS WIDE COMPUTATION ALGRID
Abstract:
A campus-wide
computational grid working environment was successfully established in our
college campus. The grid was visualized as a cluster of clusters. The cluster
heads are interconnected in a peer to peer fashion. Each cluster designed with
a node as cluster heads. The GMC (Grid Management Center) runs at each cluster
heads. The GMC has a interface(s) that
have information about the nodes with in a cluster which are participating in
the grid, When a request is made by a grid node for service, GMC process the
type of service and responds to it in an optimal way, containing where the
service is available, Every node may register it sharable resource to the GMC
Grid Index Information Service (GIIS) register it, if requested service is not
available in the requested cluster, that request is forwarded to the
neighboring cluster which may return an optimal plan., The experimental grid
was studied by conducting performance study over the built grid.
