Digital imagewatermarking using DCT

The advent of internet and the phenomenal growth of E-commerce applications over the public channels has led to an increasing and urgent need for protecting the data transactions and securing the digital distribution and transmission of legitimate data and intellectual property through internet, where data is vulnerable to piracy, and insecurity. In such a scenario, digital watermarking techniques play an important role in providing copy, copyright protection and add to security of the data. The role of digital watermarking techniques in images is to provide authenticity and copyright protection. The methodology of this research involved capturing the image we want to do the copyright protection, applying discrete cosine transformation with watermarking techniques for copyright protection and evaluating the results of the project.
