TITLE : - DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF HOVERBIKE
DURATION : - JULY 2011 – APRIL 2012
DESCRIPTION : -
The
Hover bike is the fusion concept of hovercraft and normal 4-stroke engine , two
ducted fans are used for both forward and backward motion as well as for
vertical take-off and landing, the blade angle used for ducted fans are 140
to produce high thrust, Carbon fiber with Kevlar reinforcement and foam core
material used for high structural strength, the structural analysis with varying payloads as 60kg,70kg and 150kg by
applying these load we find a 75% ,50% reduction of the stress, strain and
total deformation is obtained in the modified design.This gives the high
structural efficiency of the bike.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT:
Ø Undergone Training in Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited,Hosur
for three days and learnt about avionics instruments, construction of aircraft
and satellite structures, manufacturing and testing processes of composites. From 10th – 12th April
2010
