Computerized
Payroll Application Package
This case study is basically for a
medium sized public sector organization of about 4000 employees. The case study
presented will help to generate th pay slip of the employees depending on the
number of working days in a month and their respective designations. An
Employee master and monthly attendance tables are maintained. Using these, salary,
allowances and attendance of all the employees are maintained. Along with that
there is a provision for updating salary automatically in the next increment
date, preparing pay slip individually and as well as department wise,
calculating head-wise earning and deductions. There is provision for doing coin
analysis and finally creating computerized payroll.
This application
is developed twice. First using COBOL, VSAM, JCL and the second one by using
COBOL,JCL, DB2.
Case study 2:
Automated
Teller Machine
This case study deals with
Automated teller machine. This consists of two modules. The first module is for
bankers. It deals with operations related to the customer information such as
insert, update, delete, search validating all the essential validations. The
second module is for the customer. It deals with operations like withdrawal,
deposit and balance enquiry taking care of all the required validations. This
case study has been implemented using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
