Project Work- I : EXHAUST
GAS ANALYSIS
Sixth Semester : 2004-2005
Client : H.I.T, BELGAUM
Team size : 4MEMBERS
Duration : MAR2005-JULY2005
Role : As a team member, I worked in all
aspects as the project was an new idea
to everybody
Description : It is a new technology introduced
in order to find out the percentage of carbon-di-oxide, monoxide, nitrogen,
oxygen etc. we have many other methods in order to find out the percentage of
the gases present in the exhaust gases, they are costly. We use chemicals in
order to find out the percentage of carbon-di-oxide, monoxide, nitrogen. Our
project basically reduces the cost and gives accurate result as that of
computer testing. This can be introduced for testing the exhaust gases from the
vehicle rather than computer testing. Now a day every one wants to reduce the
cost and get the work done accurately that’s what our project does.
Project
work- II : AUTOMATED GOODS CARRIER
Eighth
Semester : 2005-2006
Client : H.I.T, BELGAUM
Team size : 3MEMBERS
Duration : MAR2006-MAY2006
Role : As a team leader, I worked in
design of the parts, with other aspects.
Description : This
project is based on fixed automation. In modern manufacturing concern more than
50%-75% of cost and time is spent in material handling a proper material
handling technique and equipment can reduce the cost and time and hence
increase the production rate .Here we use sensors as the basic electronic
component for working of our project. It works on the principle of sensing,
here there are L.E.D’s which glows the light on the path that is the white
paper or any thing that is painted with white on it. This get reflected than
this reflected light is sensed by the SENSORS which sends this signals to
relays, the relays acts as the
magnifier i.e. it converts weaker
signals in to stronger signals and further sends it to the D.C.MOTOR ,than
motor get activated and helps in movement of the vehicle. A stepper motor is
used for the purpose of the steering. Though there are many material handling
equipments in the factories our’s is
one of the contribution to the field of material handling. One of the main advantages of our project is
that its cost is less.
Seminar :
FUEL CELL TECHNOLOGY
It is an electrochemical device which converts chemical
energy in to electrical energy. It consists of anode and cathode which
surrounds the electrolyte. Electrolyte consists of catalyst which encourages
for the reaction to take place. Anode side is continuously fed with the fuel
and the cathode is pumped with the oxygen present in the atmosphere. The fuel
used is hydrogen. The catalyst encourages the reaction to take place and splits
the hydrogen in to protons and electrons; the electrolyte membrane is
conductive to protons and allows the protons to move through it towards the
cathode. Electrons make the external circuit to move towards the cathode during
which it can be utilized to get power of it. Than the oxygen in cathode reacts
with electrons and protons liberating heat and water as its bi-product.
