TITLE:
Microprocessor based torque control of a 2-phase
bidirectional motor for a dual gimball assembly
Objective:
To provide a smooth bidirectional torque in order to
move the antenna in the desired direction by incorporating a microcontroller.
Advantages:
The advantages of using a microcontroller to control
the torque of the motor are. It requires a very small current and also
dissipates less amount of heat thereby reducing the error in feedback torque.
The major advantage is miniaturization of the control circuit. It also provides
a very smooth torque control which makes it suitable for space application.
Scope of the
project:
The above circuit which will be designed and
fabricated is used by the dual gimball antenna. This design can be incorporated
in various hi-fi electronic equipments.
Commercial
viability:
The components used are very cheap and easily
available in the market thereby making it possible to use this method of torque
control in almost all applications.
