Final year project
internship:
Title:
Design of Multi
channel Data Acquisition Daughter Card for TMS640DSK6713 DSP Starter kit.
Place
of Project done: Silicon Dot Com
Technologies Bangalore
Team
size: 1
Duration:
1/02/2005-20/05/2005
Description: The aim of this project is to design
a daughter card, for TMS320DSK6713 DSP starter kit. The daughter card consists
of multi channel ADC and DAC.
The
input signal to ADC is bipolar in nature and can vary between +5Volts to
-5Volts.ADC sampling frequency is 100 kHz. The data out format is binary two’s
compliment and is 16 bit wide. DAC receives 16-bit parallel input from DSP6713
processor and converts it to analog signal, which is bipolar in nature. The out
put signal range is between +5Votls and -5Volts.The daughter card should have
its own clock generator circuit and power supply to drive DAC and ADC on the
board itself. Filters are designed to provide noise free data transmission.
Anti aliasing low pass filters are preferred. Schematic capture has to be done
for the circuit designed above.
Projects done at SDC:
Project: Design of GSM signal Booster:
Client: In House
Team size: 4
Duration: May
2005 to July 2005
The aim of this module is to receive
the GSM signal from the GSM operator, which may be weak in nature it has to be
boosted to normal frequency, which can be seen in mobile hand set by noting the
number of signal lines seen in handset.
The estimate has to be minimum and
size of the unit should be compact.
Project: Field
Telephone Set:
Client: B.E.L. Bangalore
Team Size: 2
Duration: July
2005 to November 2005
Description:
Field Telephone Set would be a portable
instrument consisting of a base unit and a handset. This instrument can also be used as a desk
set or carried in the side pocket of a battle dress. This instrument would be a
rugged piece of equipment housed in an aluminum casing having plastic rear
cover and front panel cover. Operating temperature range of the instrument
would be -40°C to +55°C.
This piece of equipment would be work with
three local batteries, at a voltage of 4.5V. The batteries power the internal
electronics of the telephone set. The base unit of the telephone set connects
to a two wire telephone line. Calls can be made by activating the Call
pushbutton provided on the front panel of the telephone set.
This is a
simple piece of equipment which provides for basic telephone connectivity and
works on a local battery, thus allowing this to be used in remote places.
