DESCRIPTION:

            

Satish Dhawan  Space Centre SHAR is India’s prestigious Space Port for launching Rockets.   Our project deals with the design and analysis of  1:12.8 hot flow scale model of MOBILE LAUNCH PEDASTAL (MLP) pertaining to gsLV-M3 launch vehicle.

The actual Launch pedestal for all the launch vehicles is a structure made out of plates.  We designed the model of MLP by considering the allowable limits of stress and deflection for vertical test facility.   A fabrication drawing is also made and given to the carry out the  hot flow test of scale  1.12.8.   Thermal analysis was also done by considering the load caused due  to the jet  impingement.   To conclude the  various stresses and  deflection, the results are verified by  static analysis of the designed model using the ANSYS package.  The obtained values of stresses and deflection are with in the allowable limits.  Hence, it is conclude that our design is Safe.
