The
age of automation has brought a new meaning to the electronics. In the
industries it means the completely automatic operation of the machine tool
without human brain intervention, implying automatic inspection and possibly
electronics integration and control of the various machining operations.
An insight into
various features of the CNC system has been dealt in the context of machine
tool applications. Detailed study of CNC system elements, Programmable logic
controller and machine tools is made. Additionally, FAGOR 8030 MGI CNC system
and BR-6 CNC drilling machine is studied.

Description :
An Embedded
project is a combination of hardware and software, designed to perform a
specific task. Solar panel control is an embedded project which is having both
hardware and software. In this project we are going to use AT89C51
microcontroller, every year, the sun emits 2,000 times more energy than the
whole world's consumption needs. The demand for electrical power could be met
by the use of solar panels. The development of this application uses 8051
microcontroller, which is developed to control peripheral devices, alleviating
the load from the main CPU. The control of the stepper motor is done by the
controller. The LDR is used to detect the light, the LDR is connected to 555
timer and timer will generate the either LOW (0V) or HIGH (5V) this signal is
fed to microcontroller. Microcontroller will drive the stepper motor depending
on light. To display the status of the light we are interfacing LCD. This total
hardware is controlled by the software written in embedded-c language.
SCOPE:
The solar panel controller is
prototype module which can be used to control the solar panel with respect to
the light.
