Duties and
Responsibilities:

Able to read/understand all sorts of HVAC drawings with
foundations/civil/wall openings and interaction of other departments.

Look into the fabrication of ducting/piping/insulations,
installations of machines and fixing of grills/diffusers with balancing of air,
i.e. cfm.

To ensure that the work is completed in time with the given
specifications and standards.

Co-ordinates with subordinate and settle the dispute on site
peacefully.

Attend appraisal meetings with the project
engineers/Managers/Consultants in case of delay/change in
drawings/work/unavailability of material and suggest suitably.

Preparing BTU sheets for load calculation following the ASHRAE
Codes.

Calculate the Duct sizes by using Equal friction method.

Can coordinate with workers regarding the assembling of components
and can make sure that the electrical controls are installed properly.

Description:
A
Cochran boiler is one of the best popular types of vertical multi tabular fire
tube boiler. The Cochran boiler is made in size up to 20 inches diameter and 5
feet height. It has a maximum evaporative capacity of 36 kg of steam per hour
form coal feed, when burning 12kg of coal per hour. The most economic rate is
about three quarters of the maximum. The beating surface of 20 inches diameter
boiler is about 20 Sq-m.
The
Cochran boiler consists of a vertical cylindrical shell having a hemispherical
top. It also has a hemispherical furnace. The fire grate is arranged in the furnace
and the ash pit is below the grate. The boiler has a combustion chamber, a
numeric of horizontal smoke-tubes a smoke-box and a stack. The furnace is
surrounded by the water on all sides expect the opening for tire door and the
combustion chamber. The tubes are also completely surrounded by water.
