This project was executed for Makro Cash &
Carry. A BI system was developed that could aid the executives
as well
as store managers of the company, to make effective decisions. This system
could help the executives
in
making effective target marketing and promotions. The trend analysis done
using the rich database could
help
manage product lines better. The system also tracks the price continuously. A
centralized data warehouse
pulls
data from outlets and corporate database. Periodical reporting is done using
Business Objects. The
various
sources that feed the centralized warehouse include operations and inventory.
Inventory and
Operations are hosted on Oracle. BO reports
were tested, by comparing reports developed in SQL.
Responsibilities:
Create mapping as per the client needs
Used transformations are filter ,
aggregator , sequence generator , lookups
Faced problem in reducing the complexity
and extraction time , because this project aim is to reduce
