Project Synopsis:
Global Cash
Exchange (GCX)
is a common message broker that provides an abstraction layer insulating and
isolating complexities between front end and back end e-Business heterogeneous
legacy platforms that are globally deployed.
GCX
provides for transformation, batching, and routing services allowing an
integrated delivery of common and customized interfaces, while providing
isolation from the complexity and logic of backend systems and servers.
GCX
serves as the middleware interfacing with multiple legacy and non-legacy
backend systems for Citibank’s two major corporate banking portals (viz.),
CitiDirect and CitiFile.
GCX
has functional capabilities for Event notification, Transaction tracking, Audit
Of production & System Changes, MIS reporting, DTD validation, Automatic
error recycling of messages, Detailed information on transaction error and
Adapters for interfacing with specific Backend Systems.
I
am involved in application support, development and maintenance of the project
from off-shore.

1.DES – Data Encryption Standard in
C
Nov 2002-Jan 2003
This project deals with the encryption
of messages in order to safeguard against unauthorized access. The original
intelligible message referred to as plaintext , is converted into apparently
random nonsense, referred to as ciphertext. The encryption process consists of
an algorithm and a key. Once the ciphertext is produced, it may be transmitted.
Upon reception, the ciphertext can be transformed back to the original
plaintext by using a decryption algorithm and the same key that was used for
encryption.

3.Human Resources Management
System

The Human
Resources Management System is used to computerize any Personnel Administration
Department. (This project was done based on the Personnel Administration
Department of the Indian Oil Corporation).This project is used to monitor all
employees’ (both officers and staff) particulars and to process the monthly
transactions like Appointment, Promotions, Transfer, Retirement, Death,
Resignation etc.Transfer module is used to prepare transfer list for every
year. Using this project they can prepare any number of manpower reports,
employee listings, cross tab reports and graphical reports. It provides
increased functionality. The project provides the online history of its
employees. On the whole this project is used to effectively utilize the
manpower data to enhance the quality of work of Personnel Administration
Department.
