Project 1 : MIT chrompet

Title: Development of Front End Tool For Semantic Grid Services.

Client: C-DAC Banglore

Project Description:

This project work attempts to develop a methodology that describes the various grid resources semantically and presents an algorithm that enables semantic search of those resources and services. An architecture is proposed for semantic grid services that exploits the concept of semantic web services to an extent. The use of WSDL2OWLS tool to describe Grid Service semantically. The Algernon inference engine is used to query the service ontology and thereby facilitate semantic search of resources. This module can further be extended to semantic Matchmaking. The accuracy of the service discovery will improve with semantics. Semantics provide the expressiveness needed to make detailed descriptions of advertised service capabilities and capability requests. Matchmaking using semantics is more accurate than a keyword-based search, because the direct similarities are found using inference logic. Service discovery based on semantics will enable a more dynamic coupling between clients and services. The concept of Match means that the description of a published node or advertisement is sufficiently similar to that of the user’s requested node. Five degree of matches viz., Exact, Plug in, Subsume, Intersection and Disjoint. is developed With the help of Protégé OWL editor.

Project 2 : Restructuring GridBus Broker

Client: C-DAC Banglore

Project Description

The Grid Service Broker, developed as part of the Gridbus Project, mediates access to distributed resources by discovering suitable data sources for a given analysis scenario, suitable computational resources, optimally mapping analysis jobs to resources, deploying and monitoring job execution on selected resources, accessing data from local or remote data source during job execution and collating and presenting results. The broker supports a declarative and dynamic parametric programming model for creating grid applications. This model has been used in grid-enabling a high energy physics analysis application (Belle Analysis Software Framework). This project is now developed with the compatibility to use in GT4.0 which  is WSRF based frame work. Its complexity is reduced and its look and feel has been improved .

This prototype web application stores rare medicinal and botanical information about various plants. It provides this information to the users under various botanical search conditions. It also helps in linking various other databases with the same kind of information.

Project Description:

The Recursion Software Ltd. is computerizing their operations enterprise wide to improve efficiency and to eliminate the shortfalls of its existing manual system. The top-down organizational hierarchy of recursion includes many departments. The whole tedious process of noting the arrival and leaving attendance and incoming and outgoing time of each employee gets processed and shown in to a web view.

Role:

            - Designed screens using Dreamweaver  

            - Developing Servlets and Jsp.

- Developing Java components and deployed in Apache Tomcat   

   Server.

            - Exception Handling.

The Logistic Management System was developed as a part of Organization   Management System (OMS) to maintain and keep track of the various fleets in the logistics department of the client, distributed at various localities. This system maintains records of logistics employees, fleets, vehicle, fuel consumption & vehicle insurance.
