Project #1:
Project Name : Safety
Data Analysis System (SDAS)
Organization : VI Engineering Solutions (P). Ltd.,
Client : General Motors (GM), US
Environment : .Net framework, Web logic 8.1, Diadem
Tool, QTP Operating System : Windows
2000 server
Duration : November 2005 to till date
Role : Developer
Team size : 8
Abstract:
The Vehicle Safety and
Crashworthiness Laboratory (VSCL) at General Motors are seeking to modernize
its existing system to provide safety test data
systems and services in an easily accessible, single online location. The Crash
Data Analysis System (CDAS) currently in operation is used for processing and
analysis of crash data.
The main goals of the project are -
1) Replace unsupportable software to avoid the risk of not having a viable VSCL
Data processor and 2) Reduce the CDAS support cost
Responsibilities:
Ø
Detailed study of the Software Requirement
Specification (SRS).
Ø
Retrieving
channel information from Diadem (Report Generation Tool) and writing the channel
details into a file in Altair Binary format using C++ coding.
Ø

the code written in C++ in diadem using Remote Procedural Call.
Project #2:
Project Name : Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD)
Organization : VI
Engineering Solutions (P) Ltd
Client : General
Motors (GM), US
Environment : C#, IIS 6.0, .Net Framework, SQL Server 2000
Operating System : Windows
2000 Server
Duration : August
2005 to December 2005
Role : Test
Engineer
Team size : 4
Abstract:
The
ATD lab software package will be used by technical operators in a
production-like environment with limited research capabilities. The ATD lab operates as a service provider to
the Crash Labs by delivering customized ATD configurations based on engineer
vehicle crash test requests. The ATD lab
is responsible for certifying the delivered ATD’s to the crash tests by
following both federal regulations and internal company requirements. This
engineering specification details the software requirements and design
considerations for a PC based Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD) Verification
Software System and associated ATD Inventory Management System. The ATD
Verification software system is the principal application module used in dummy
verification. The ATD inventory management allows for access to information
regarding entire ATD’s and any immediate parts that make up an ATD, along with
all spare parts inventory. This includes a web-based inventory module, which
would provide all the customized reports from information within the server
database and for viewing of verification test data and summary reports.
Responsibilities:
Ø
Detailed study of the Software Requirement
Specification (SRS).
Ø
Involved in UI
and Functionality testing
Ø
Defect

Abstract:
Takata
ASL is a web-based application which has identified the need for an Engineering
Information Management System to support the Inflator Organization in Armada,
MI.The system is expected to reduce costs, improve on time delivery
performance, and reduce scrap. Takata ASL facility rolls out different
automation initiatives across all lab areas (Engineering, Prototype, Test,
Propellant, and Chemical Lab). The scope is designed to include all areas of
Takata ASL operations at a high level, but will focus on specific automation
initiatives for engineering analysis and replacement of the existing GIO

Operating System : Windows 2000 Professional
Duration : December
2004 to March 2005
Role : Test
Engineer
Team size : 5
Abstract:
A
system is needed to automatically execute sets of test scenarios in simulation
and test environments (e.g. hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)) and compare the
differences in the outputs. To do this,
the system must execute test cases in the simulation environment and record the
responses. Then the system will run
these same test cases in the HIL environment and record the responses. Then the system will automatically compare
and report the differences between the simulation and hardware responses.
The goal of this project is to help
the GM CAE/Control Systems community to:
1) Enable lights-out testing
