The project is done in the aim of developing BANKING software and the banking
products like Credit Card System and its various accounts handling in MAINFRAME ENVIRONMENT. This solves the
data storage and security problems.
Description
A detailed understanding of the Domain Knowledge on
the Banking practices regarding the Credit card system precedes program
development. The user interface for the interaction between the user and the
program has been designed using CICS. This provides all the user interface
screens facilitating the user inputs and the program outputs to be displayed.
The Application program has been coded in COBOL for the computations required.
The database used is DB2, which stores various tables containing the data.
Embedded SQL coded within COBOL provides access to the DB2 tables.
