Post Graduate Projects:
1. Flash Programming and
Data Replay Tool using XCP protocol over Ethernet Application in TCI (Active
Safety Development, Delphi TCI Bangalore)
All the active
Safety Radar projects have DSP/ARM which is connected to a serial flash. Until now the reprogramming of serial flash
is done via CAN which is slow compared to Ethernet and every project will have
a different tool depending on customer. The controllers support XCP protocol
over Ethernet. The idea is to make a flashing tool based on XCP over Ethernet.
This can be used across all our projects as a fast universal flashing solution
compared to customer specific low speed solutions we have today.

2. Life
Span Test for Rotary Blower Switch.
The
main theme of the project is to test the flexible operation of an AC rotary
blower switch by making an automatic test rig. Here the switch should be
operated automatically under four different speeds or modes. The blower switch
should be tested under all the four modes of operation with blower motor as
load at all speed levels one by one. So each cycle of operation starts from off
position and reaches the fourth speed level by crossing first, second and third
speed levels. We have to complete 3 cycles per minute. So we make an automatic
test rig which meets the requirement of the client in order to analyze the
performance of the flexibility of the AC rotary switch by monitoring and the
parameters like voltage and insulation resistance at the load side during the
operation.
- Power Seat Automation.
Power seat is to be adjusted automatically based on
the driver’s profile by using a keypad switch. Here we are taking a feedback
mechanism for controlling the seat position; seats can be moved in to various
directions like moving up/ down or tilted to suit the comfort for the driver. In the power seat we have totally four
DC motors (12v). DC Motor position is sensed by position sensor, sensed values
are acquired using Microcontroller (HCS12).
This acts as a feedback to alter the position of the seat based on the
driver input. During Normal operation,
When Driver presses his pass key through keypad, motors gets positioned based
on the database values.
